(This seems like it can go in a whole bunch of places. If I put it in the wrong spot, I apologize.)
I love my HRT, but these anti-androgens are evil. Due to that and money worries, I'm strongly considering seeking orchiectomy as a stepping stone for later SRS. Now, I've seen lots of information on keeping the post-orchie scrotal skin in good condition for SRS, but very little about dealing with the hair. I know enough to know I need that hair absolutely gone before I go in for SRS, and this lack of information kinda scares me.
I guess what I'm asking is, how easy/hard is it to remove hair from a post-orchie scrotum via electrolysis or laser? Do I need to make sure it's all gone before I even go in for the orchie?
it's about the same amount of effort since the skin has to be (reasonably) taunt for the technician to probe or laser the area. before or after orchi, it's your choice, although might take up to a month before can resume hair removal after orchi.
I have the very same question, actually: does one need to get laser/electro on the genitals prior to SRS?
I've read in places that the surgery can sometimes take care of that with the cauterization (I don't recall the details).
There's a groupon near me for brazillian (area) laser, and I'm wondering if I ought to do that.
defurring prior to surgery is a per surgeon thing, more of them are doing hair removal inter-op (scraping the follicle off or electrocautherizing the follicle blood supply) although there's no guarantee that there won't be vajayjay hairballs.
