Georgina Beyer can claim many firsts. But it appears the title of first "old girl" at all-boys Wellesley College belongs to someone else.

Ms Beyer, who attended the private primary school in Eastbourne from 1969-71, went on to become the world's first openly transsexual mayor and the world's first openly transsexual member of Parliament.
