Title: A kindly introduction
Post by: Calicea on April 04, 2012, 12:12:32 AM
Hello everyone =) I've been on this site a few times in the past looking for answers, but this is the first time I've actually registered and posted. I'll start with a little about myself. I'm 18 years as of October and I'm a MtF transgender. My name is Dalton "Calicea" Davis. Calicea being my chosen female name. A little over a year ago my step-father was killed in a car accident. About 2 months ago my father was killed in an avalanche while snowmobiling. I still miss them both very much. In the past two years I regrettably attempted suicide twice as a result of my depression. I'm feeling much better now and have been on HRT for a week and a half. It's a simply amazing feeling and I pray everyone who desires it manages to get it and even if that's not what you seek I hope you find what ever it is. We all deserve our own slice of happiness. One of my all time favorite hobbies is gaming. I don't think I could ever show another person how much it has helped me make it through a day in this body yet alone my life. I'm hoping a can become a part of this wonderful and beautiful community and learn even more. Perhaps with some luck I might be able to teach someone else as well.

-Cali

P.S. I've wanted to start a blog for a while and finally getting around to it, but I'm stuck at the name for it. I was hoping it could be both about being trans and a gamer. Not sure if those two go together, but I sure hope so because that's who I am  :) Also I was planning on using wordpress.com so if anyone has any ideas or advice for that I'd love that. Or just blogging advice in general

Hi, Cali.

You've been through some rough times and many of your new-found friends here have similar experiences.

As you make more posts, you will unlock additional features of the site.  Good luck to you.  Just post if you have questions or need a sympathetic ear.

Hello and welcome Calicea.  You have certainly had a rough time, Virtual big hug from me too.

It's good to hear HRT agrees with you, it is a good guide to whether one is actually TS.  I was at my support group yesterday and we were  talking about what HRT feels like with someone just starting transition.

We are all looking forward to seeing more posts from you and  if you want to rant about something that has happened to you, fire away, we all have.   It is a good release.

Karen.

Hi Cali,
Another warm Aussie welcome to Susan's family. Guess what? One of your wishes has already been granted. You mentioned "I'm hoping I can become a part of this wonderful and beautiful community and learn even more."  Well, you have and you will.

With the open and receptive attitude you have already, you'll quickly realise with the combined wisdom of all concerned here, your dreams will be a reality. Susan's is better than Disney's any day.

I hope you enjoy your stay and that it's long. So, over to you. Start asking away, in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa Huggs
Catherine
