The Marshall University Psychology Clinic is conducting a support group for transgender individuals in the area.

The group is for Marshall students and staff, as well as members of the Huntington community, who identify as transgender, experiencing gender dysphoria or are questioning their gender identity.

"People who feel as if they don't "fit" in the body they were born with can have multiple obstacles and adjustments to deal with in their lives," Keith Beard, director of the Psychology Clinic said in a press release.

There is very little data about the transgender community, and there are no statistics for the Marshall University campus or the surrounding community.
