Title: Information for the workplace
Post by: jonjon on March 30, 2007, 01:05:04 PM
Right, so everything these days that concerns people knowing or how to deal with me (in a transgendred point of view) my manager is asking me. God knows why because it's not like we're a small company and dont have any files/policies concerning such matters. When we were going to tell all the staff my manager was like "Well, how do you think i should do it? What do i do?" And i'm like... *shrugs* "I dunno!" lol

So, it comes the time when we need to hire more staff.... and guess what the topic of today is? "What do i tell them? How do i tell them?"

Obviously, i dont have an answer for everything! So are there any documents available that i can print off that explain how to handle transgenders in the work place? Something that covers a basis on how it should be handled with new staff and such. I think it be better if he could read some stuff concerning and learn to handle it on his own without having to ask e every second about what he should do.

It would be ok if he knew what procedures to go through and explained them to me before he went ahead with them... but it's like he expects me to know how to handle everything!
