Title: I think this might be the best place to ask about monthly sex drive
Post by: Rebecca Perez on April 19, 2012, 01:15:55 AM
Okay, a quick warning. This is only for the curious and helpful. I have an issue that has perplexed me and was wondering if anyone experienced the same thing. I have always wondered what was going and I can't find any answers.

Since puberty (I was delayed by about 2 years) I had little to no sex drive. In fact, I would tend to describe myself as an asexual transgender person (M2F). However, every month for about 3-4 days I go from no sex drive to incredibly horny. I mean wow! WARNING TMI

My sexual sensations occur at the base of the scrotum and kind of "buzzes" and tingles, radiating up a little bit. I have very little sensation beyond that. Finally, I go from difficulty with an erection and orgasming to being able to orgasm 4 to 5 times in an hour easily. Then after that 3rd or 4th day, nothing. Back to being normal for me. The weird thing is that it is very predictable. I know when the next one is coming (about every 30 days or so).

This has been lifelong. I have had hormone panels done (before I started HRT) and there was some question about my possibility being intersexed. Someone please tell me they have experienced this themselves.

This is not psychosomatic and it isn't over-identifying as female. I had no idea I was unique (I thought this was ....normal) until I told my wife and she said that what I described is what she experiences during her monthly cycle. I have had other women say the same thing.

It would probably be easier to correlate if we knew what or if you were intersex.  I have had similar experiences, but I have had SRS corrective surgery so in that I am total female.  Now, I do experience very similar to what you are explaining, but it is clitoral and happens usually during the night.  I do sometimes have very sensitive periods sometimes during the day, where I will get all of a sudden and very high stimulated feeling that will come on for no apparent reason.  It will start at the inner part of the vagina then it will go very quickly to the clitoral area in a very profound and immediate fashion, which will catch me so off guard that I will be like "wow"!  This happened in the middle of sleep this week.  I was pretty asexual before this, but i had to have direct stimulation for this to happen back then, but now it can happen at a moments notice..Fun, fun, fun haha!

during the years when I was on hormones and waiting for surgery and had no interest for sex I had several episodes of a sort of tingly feeling between my legs along with a little 'unease as like the start of a chill' and then I would get a great gush of thick mush and blood followed by pee that after a couple of hours had washed all the blood through.

I asked the medcis and online but no-one can tell me what it was esepcially as I had no back pians of penis pains from passing kidney or urine stones.

The urology dept at hospital anylsed smaples but said no stones/no infections/don't know what it is.

As the situation developed over several hours and then the blood and mush came before the pee I came to the conclusion AND I'LL STAND BY IT UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE ( :D) that what was happening was the lack of sex was allowing a buildup of seminal fluid in the seminal vesicles until eventually it thickened and turned nasty while the tube outlet was closing up from disuse and then when full it presssurised the vesicle tube which is directly under the bladders and connects into the urethra untl eventually the vesicle emptied itself in what was basically a wet dream but of thick mush and blood instead of typical fluid and semen.

As you aren't very interested in sex it might be that your seminal vesicles are filling up until for a few days the fullness triggers the need to make you seek sex to empty them.

As the vesicles can store fluid for quite a while they will settle into a schedule.  Plus of course you could have some sort of other body/sex effects due to the buildup triggering your brain to trigger releease of hormones to try make you empty the vesicles.

As the vast majority of males never experience any lack of sex and as no woman has vesicles then teh chances of a researcher knowing about it are very remote as I found when I emailed various urologist/sex problem researchers.

We don't know everythng about our bodies yet.

I finally found my answer,at least in part.

After 4 years of tests and consultations (my doctor was looking in the wrong direction) it turns out I have congenital hypogonadism with partial AIS. It finally got sorted out after he finally starting consulting endos with experience with intersex conditions.

The most interesting part of this whole thing, was that one of the specialist asked if my mom had been given DES during her pregnancy with me. I had no idea so I contacted my dad and aunt who said that, yes, it was given to her because of an earlier miscarriage when my mom almost bled to death.

After reviewing my record and current health issues showed my some research on the effects of DES on male fetuses. And dang it, if it didn't all make sense. He took me right through the various health and mental health issues that have been tentatively linked to exposure to DES and I checked one right after another.

I cannot believe that my whole life, this whole time, I am the result of a drug that was given to my mom when she was pregnant with me. Yeah, I do attribute my gender identity issues and intersex issues with DES, because of all the additional health issues that were also correlated with DES exposure.

In one sense, I am relieved that I finally got my answer. Let me rephrase that. I am very happy that I got my answer after 4 years of searching. What this specialist described as effects of exposure to DES was like he was reading my biography.

The down side is that outside of being intersex (It sucks that I will never have biological kids of my own) and transsexual, and never feeling like I fit in anywhere, I also have had to deal with a slew of other issues that will probably shorten my life a bit.

Finally, it turns out that my inside reproductive organs are not all that male at all, though nothing inside works, it just kind of exists in me.

Weird, weird, weird.

Onward and upward!

Hi,

I'm Jennifer (JLT1) - "My body is changing without hormones" post (among others).  When I first started estrogen patch, I had a similar feeling and the same sexual tendencies.  Then, I accidentally froze my patches when I put them in my suitecase in the back seat of my truck to come home and it was 22 below F.  I had to wait a week to get replacement patches and when I put a new one one, same feelings.  Estrogen level spike.  Doesn't happen as long as I remember to change patches.
