I just wondered how many of us girls/women actually do that these days, - going out without bothering to put on our "face".
Is it a new trend, or does one get lazy, like - gosh not AGAIN! having to put my face on... or is it in deed a sign of improved confidence?! Like I'm looking just fine without any?
In deed it could be simply a money saver too.
I have stopped putting any make-up on my face when I go for my daily walks, since after my return home and 'scrub-down', I'd have to put it back on all over again. What a drag!
Mind you, it can get also a bit of hindrance, not wanting to go through make-up and deciding to just stay at home...
What is your experience if you like to share it?

I wear makeup rarely.. Certainly not day to day.. If I'm going out, sure..
I tend to wear at least some makeup if I'm stepping out of the house. It's very rare to see me out and about without it.
I have been using tinted SPF moisturizer. Smoothest out the flesh tones, moisturizes and protects against the sun. Win, win, win.
I never wear any, it's my feminist protest.
Never... Never do I leave the house without make-up. ;D Foundation/powder & lipstick at bare minimum.

OK, you got me.. I do wear a tinted SPF moisturiser daily.. For much the same reasons..
given my shocking attempts with makeup i can't see myself using it, not unless i become awesome at it. Seriously, i looked better before, and thats really saying something.
I have to or I don't pass well... Still have thick black facial hair >:(

same.. gotta laser that face asap..at least its mainly only on my chin/top lip area.
I have invisible blond lashes and brows...not to mention the facial hair (mostly blond...but I can see it and am paranoid others can, too). Makeup all the way. Sometimes just stay home due to all the shaving and prep time. :-(

Only wear it on the occasions I feel like it. Very rarely during the day.
And I never wear foundation. I put a lot of time and effort into making my skin look good. Want to show it off. :P
I like mascara and eyeshadow, but that's just if I'm going out in the evening.
My "default" is just some powder and raspberry chapstick. Takes about.. 20 seconds
But I enjoy playing with make-up and I will put on a whole face on occasion
Actually, after 2 years of living 24/7, yesterday was the first day I had full make up on me -for a photo shootout- I looked funny to me, and could not wait to come home and remove it; but for the flip side of it, I got a lot of attention from the guys and gals I interacted with, so I think I am going to star using a bit of lip gloss and eye shadows. I cannot stand the mascara or the eye liner.
i wear makeup but more along the lines of less is more. Ive seen horrible makeup jobs and i seen how someone can let themselves go sans makeup ...so there is always an extreme to each side
It really depends on how I feel. I pretty much wear liner, shadow, mascara on weekdays to work. Maybe one day every other week I won't wear them to work like when I get texted that we are short-staffed and I have like twenty minutes to get ready. I've worn moisturizer since my early 20's but I don't consider that make up. I hate foundation and don't wear it but if I'm feeling oily I'll use powder, like MAYBE once a month if that, lol. It's like a security blanket. Here's me with no make up vs. heavy make up to show the extremes:

and when you do makeup you do the less is more approach. That's how I do it too.
The only time when I get crazy with the eyeshadow and mascara is when I go to a dance at night. Other than it's pretty natural
I never wore any makeup of any kind throughout my transition and still don't.
Early on in transition when I was more self-conscious because of laser cycles I thought about foundation but I was a freakin honey badger anyways and back then I was out and proud so I just accepted that I was a girl with a little beard shadow. Worst thing is that I always got mam'ed even through these laser cycles when I still had a somewhat visible mustache shadow. I know it's a privilege though and I'm just lucky to look good without makeup because I know some cis friends of mine that look like zombies without makeup >.<
If I'm just running out to get something while I'm doing stuff at home, I'll go without. For work or major trips to town, I do use a little to even things out a bit and do a bit of contouring to help mask the ugly. I haven't bothered with mascara for over a year now though, just too aggravating overall for me and my lashes are fine without it.

Aye, - one excellent Aussi style sun-protection, um.
And you do put eye-holes, yes?!
You suggest that a short while back I recall... :)
Do you wear Gucci, Dior, or Prada, or GreenGrocer? bags if I may ask. (Sorry being so inquisitive hon)
He, he,
Axélle
PS: BTW, today was one of my no make-up days...
Note to self: - Find "tinted SPF moisturiser" -
... now what WOULD be a good on, I wonder?
I wear my bags under my eyes, they are very natural-looking ;)
I admire the girls who have the confidence to own it cause if you see me out and about sans makeup there is a good chance the apocalypse is near ;D
I don't wear makeup at all. None of my female friends do so I figure why bother, I seem to pass fine without it.
Early on in transition, I alwasy worn foundation. I believed it helped me pass. Since HRT has femalised my face, I have stopped wearing makeup as a matter of course. These days, I have actually found I get more (mostly unwanted) attention from guys when I don't have any makeup on. Though that might have more to do with my lack of makeup skills. :D
Well at the moment, I can't cover up beard shadow with self confidence sooo I kind of wear makeup when I'm out out of necessity. Maybe one day I will pass without it, when that day comes I will probably still wear makup as I like the way it can be used to enhance natural beauty. Granted there will be days where I will just say F*** it and leave the hows as is. To each their own though

I always do some very light makeup even if just hanging around the house. I try to do the "less is more" approach but feel I might scare someone with no makeup :P Some light foundation/tinted moisturizer type product, some brow shading (I have almost no natural brows),eye shadow, liner, mascara, blush and lipstick is my norm. If I'm in a big hurry I have done wake up to out the door, including shower, shave, makeup in less than 20 minutes. Normally it's more like 45 which includes drinking a cup of coffee etc.
I rarely wear makeup. As it happens yesterday I did, and it had been weeks since the last time. I have a somewhat fragile metabolism (for the last 10 years) and find that I can't abide most types of makeup. I have finally found a combination of products that seems to work OK for me. Oddly in this case the more expensive brands usually have a higher risk of not working. The cheap stuff seems to work better for me, metabolism wise. With "not working" I mean that the next day I will feel like I have been run over by a truck, so to speak. Muscles aching and no energy.
Oh, and another problem is that I am allergic to eye makeup remover. But, I have found that extra virgin olive oil works well too. But as it is, I don't even do that very often (you can't see black mascara on dark brown hair behind my glasses anyway).
Like a few others in this thread I don't wear make-up at all either... even though I look pretty crap :P
I don't currently have the motivation to look pretty...
Maybe if I get involved in a relationship I might start to learn it :P
Wow, thanks ladies for the educational I'm / we're getting.
Tomorrow, it's electrolysis for me and one DEFINATE, for AT LEAST eye-makeup.
Going to my beauty parlour "naked" like, is the one thing that just doesn't do it for me. Not so long it's not for a facial...
I have electrolysis, nails and waxing and it seems I MUST appear best possible... bad enough if we come with some eco-forest 'down-under'; so at least the 'rest' I feel better be presentable as best.
Going shopping... well, seems to require the same effort.
For all else, I now try to give my face a rest.
Axélle
Shadow, mascara, liner, neutral lipstip, everyday.
I can get away with foundation and concealer. I usually just use foundation, concealer, moisturizer, lip gloss... and may do an eye liner. I don't do a full face unless I'm going out like.. to impress a guy or go to a club or something.
All I wear when I go out is a little foundation and eyeliner (sometimes).
I only wear foundation to cover up scarring/discolouration on my face. But yes I do go without it sometimes largely when I'm going to the electrologists.
