Hm. Still can't get any help, huh? Canada won't help their own citizens, and neither will this thing help us. Apparently, I'll never be able to have anything done. Good luck US citizens. At least you have a chance....

I thought some of the transgendered surgeries were funded through the Government there?

@Darrin "The number of grants awarded per cycle is dependent upon our success in fundraising"

I'm considering applying because of the financial situation I am presently in, but I already have $2,000 towards surgery thanks to my current job. I'm tempted to just find a way to get a loan for $3,000 from a family member after I hit $2,900...But I know it might not be possible.

There is another organization that has possibilities: CKLife. http://www.cklife.org/Surgery-Scholarship-Fund.php  (http://www.cklife.org/Surgery-Scholarship-Fund.php)

It's a provincial thing, so some governments are better than others. my province funds top surgery....I think a few other provinces fund bottom actually, but I forget which. Ontario is one.

Ooooo gotcha somewhat so it basically depends on what province you are in.

I never knew it worked like that.

I was going to apply for this, but I don't know if it's even worth it.

If I was transitioning right now I would apply.  Then I couldn't say I never tried.  Who knows I may get lucky one day.

Yeah, NL will only cover it under MCP if you have gotten recommendation from CAMH in Ontario. They are apparently horrible to go through, 90% don't get their "blessing" and I know of one guy who went there, got approved for funding, but government still would not cover him. Sigh.
