Well Black Caviar is coming to Adelaide next week.
So what 90% of the world says.
She is the most successful filly in 1500m racing ever, IF she wins her next race in Adelaide, she will unless she drops dead and there isn't a horse to match her. BTW I don't particularly like horse racing. But I live close to where the race will be. I have a ticket. One of 30,000.
What do I wear? All of the society will be there. It will be total clothes show off day.
So ladies and gents design my outfit.
I'm 5' 9", 62 kilos, ( about 110-15 Ilbs?) I'm 36, 30, 38. I walk well in heels but usually I like boots with heels, high heel shoes with out ankle support can be problem.
I don't want to look like a tart.
So suggestions!
And have fun
Cindy

Her colours are black bgd and pink spots, I think, as you can tell I'm really into horse racing I've never even laid a bet.
Why do I expect crudity to this response
The hat makes the ensemble

I used to live quite close to the Santa Anita race track.
You can call me "Longshot Louie."
I'm not good with hats, the girl on the left in the cute red dress looks good. Jealous as Hell starting to creep up.
You reckon a dress or skirt and top?

Ahh I feel like an idiot.
I think a nice dress would be the go.. I've been to a few Melbourne and Caufield Cups over the years, and a dress seems to be far more commonly worn, a hat is not unusual either.. But hey, I was always wearing a suit, so what would I know.. :P
It's always easy to get a ticket when you have a couple of each on the family mantelpiece.. 8)
In California we are somewhat less formal at the race track.

The secret, of course, is not to be mistaken for the horse!

You going?
Can't go far wrong with black this time of year. Although orange tangerine is the colour of the moment apparently. As for a hat, maybe a peaked cap of some sort to keep the hair under control if it is windy? Skirt, coat, boots, cap. Very Mod. :D Have fun.
Karen.
