I'm curious, how long did it take you or how long does it take for the hair on your head to grow out? Let's say to the page boy look for example.
Hair grows, on average, at 1/2" per month or 6" per year. For me, an even chin length paige would take about 2 years if I started with a buzz cut.

i havent had mine cut for .. about 6 years, but unless i straighten it, its hovers around shoulder length or just over (straightened its about half way down my back)
I had mine at an inch long a year and a half ago. When I straighten it, it reaches past my shoulders these days. My hair grows really quickly, I believe.
A Pageboy will probably take about 7-9 months, depending on how short your hair is before you grow it out. the main thing is to keep your hair in good condition. If you strip the hair of its essential oils, it will break and take that much longer to grow, especially if you are using alot of heat like a dryer or flatiron. I use a supplement call New Hair, which is very good for hair health. I also take a good multi vitamin along with EFA's. Maintaining excellent health will also improve your hair condition. I do not wash my hair every day so the moisture stays in.

A lot of it depends on genetics

Itt's just a cousin :D
Family resemblance, however.
I'll Hand that to you
I used to have a military-style buzz cut. About a year and a half ago (when I first became aware of me being TS) I decided to grow it out. Now it's just past my shoulders, very full and fluffy, naturally wavy. (Lucky genes, I guess...47yo) When I pony-tail it, the tail touches my collar.
Had one "dusting" about 8 months ago. A "dusting" is where the stylist trims *just* the very ends off, to make it all neater looking.
I have not had mine cut for the last 4 years. I started with a shaved head. And now it is to my bra.
It took about 3 yrs to have the hairs in my avatar.
As a hair dresser recommended me to have rather short hair to avoid hair loss, I once have hairs cut short. Now my hair reaches my chest, but I will grow it to reach my hip at this time ;D

That's great to hear. I think your hair is one of your best assets and I've always loved it at any length, but especially long. I had mine that long back in the '90s (see sketch in my current avatar), but it's thinner these days, so I seldom wear it past chin length. My advice regarding hair has always been if you've got it, enjoy it.

Thanks, Lyric. Yes. Nowadays I can enjoy my long hair more easily because university is a place for freedom. Virtually nobody mention my long hair.
I ordered a special brand of shampoo, which says preventing hair loss. It is about 5 times more expensive than ordinary shampoo, but seems to work.

I had to have my lovely chin long blonded hair shaved off on 29 January in order for surgeon to extract follicles for transplanting to front so I can check very accurately and so far after 3.5 months its gotten back to over 1.5 inches or almost 4.5 cms so the average of half inch per months is about right.
The reason it seems to grow faster is due to growing two inches at edges of scalp will show more than 2 inches on top of head which is why we seem to need regular trims.
This is why in four months I'll have hair down to my eyes but only down to bottom of my ears but down to back of my collar at rear.
It will be next January before I get back to pre-shave length and I can't wait to have long hair again.
