I have joined the dark side and gone for Gender Mixture. I did wonder if I should go for Bi-gender but I guess in the end no matter how I dress I feel I am in the middle of the genders.

It's just my opinion, but I think these two quotes apply nicely to this poll--

Does it matter? I am done with all these polls, but if anyone cares to know,
I am a femwoman, meaning that I was born fem, and now I am a woman. ;)

Oh my yes, it does matter! It matters to many people on these forums, to include longtime members and new guest alike. This website would not exist if everyone in the world identified as male/masculine and female/feminine. The users come to learn and discover more about themselves... and about others.
I'm sorry if the poll upset you Tink. The poll is, however, meeting its intended objective for the interest of those who want to learn more about gender, furthering the understanding and acceptance of the wondrous variety of human condition.
The gender garden is a beautiful place to be!
It is a place to grow... and learn... and bloom.
I'm very glad to one of the blossoms in it.

Same here for me. I didn't actually identify as a girl until I knew there was a difference. :P

I found out I was intersexed when I got my surgery. I don't know all the details as they are sketchy, but Mom fessed up after I came back from my trip. I didn't pursue it any further as it was a sore spot for my mom who is 78 years old. The doctors told her everything would be OK and that if they raised me as a boy I will be a boy. I was fertile so I don't know what I had. I had always thought I was transvestite then CD then TS. I have always ID myself as a girl, but tried to be a boy as that was what I was told. The doctor who did my surgery said I had scar tissue like what he has seen when they have an intersexed child and make them a boy, cause there is sufficient penis and testicles. I'm not pursueing it any further. I am who I am now.

How many times have I heard this deal? There are a LOT more intersexed births out there than anyone could ever imagine. >:( Now I am in a bad mood again.

I sometimes wonder due to how my body is reacting to hormones at my age (32) and the way I have always felt about things that I might have been IS, or I guess I might have even wished it, though I always thought if you were fertile that it ruled you out from being intersexed. I might have to look into this.
By intersex, we mean truly ambiguous genitalia, right? Not just hypospadias?
Kate
It should be any type of "diagnosed" IS, chromosomal anomalies, etc, etc, etc.; otherwise, I could consider myself IS too! >:D

LOL, well trust me, hypospadias doesn't require a doctor's diagnosis to know. You just kinda, well, have a looksee ;)
But it's sometimes labeled an intersexed condition, sometimes not. Depends on who you ask. It's not a chromosomal aberration, but more likely a hormonal mess-up in the womb.
But except in severe cases, it's not a big deal. When I hear "interesex," I think of kleinfelters, androgen insensitivity syndrome, ambiguous genitalia, etc. And yet, some definitions list hypospadias as being IS. I'm guessing for the purposes of this poll though that it doesn't count.
Kate

Transsexed FtM (Born female, ID as boy)
I often describe myself as a male-bodied woman, so I chose "Transsexed MtF (Born male, ID as girl)".
Born Male-Identify as a Girl
I picked "Female Other," because I was born female, and identify as non-female. Sort like I should've been a male-bodied person, but not necessarily a man.
At my birth when the doctor saw my birth defect she said that I was male, but despite that I have always been feminine. So actually I would have to say "other, but identify as female".
Born Male-Identify as a Gir
A man with a body that needs a bit of tinkering, in other words FtM. :D
Why are FtM numbers so low compared to MtF numbers?

I hope that doesn't mean us MTFs are the neediest support-wise... :-\
I didn't vote as my reply isn't listed. My gender is what it has always been.
My situation is complicated. Born intersexed, lost my Mom who didn't push gender issues at age 6, adopted and unfortunately raised as a boy because macho adopted father only cared about what he could see, and adopted mom always giving in to him despite my always identifying as a girl, and my very feminine looks and manurisms.
So my vote was: Intersex Female (Born intersex, ID as girl)
Ally :icon_flower:
I am solidly in the Binary as identifying female, even though I was born male.
Persistent Mullerian duct syndrome, so intersex female here. I had vestigial "girl parts" removed from a testicle when I was 12, likely due to DES exposure in 1968-9.
Transsexual FtM (born female, ID as a boy) :)

cisgender female, though I like BlonT's answer, too! ;)
fluid/mix female
Transcendent Female...
Don't like people gendering on internet...
I've never heard the term "Transcendent" used to mean "genderless" before! :D
Shout out to 2007 again.
I only learned the word "hypospadias" recently, but in my family it happens to female-assigned people, and it confuses doctors. I can see how some people with that condition might be hard to label as infants.
