So I volunteered today at a local dog walk festival with a FtM friend of mine who I met through the kalamazoo gay and lesbian resource center. I was really nervous pulling up because I wasn't aware that it was a general event and not a pride event and because he and I were the only two running the donations booth. We were selling t-shirts and stuff to raise money for the pride fest next month.
Anyways, it went really really well. It's hard to say if I was passing or not, but a lot of people talked to me and didn't look at me weird at all. I even watched the booth alone a few times and didn't have any problems. It made me feel really good about myself lol
So yeah, here's a picture of me shortly after getting back.

"I even watched the booth alone a few times and didn't have any problems."
That should be a good clue!
Hey Dhamma,
You look like a natural born female. Pert hairstyle framing your face. Wearing clothes that most people your age has you blending in. Wonderful that you felt good about yourself. The experience is a confidence builder.
Hugs
Jamie
Honestly can't tell from the small photo
From a glance, I say female for sure. 3 Weeks? HRT should't even take effect yet :) It will only get better.
As I recall, Dhamma, you're very tall.
yes about 6'1" =/

I'm 25, 6'10", and I have a mild receding hairline. I am 2 days on estrogen and one month spiro. I'm also a full-time student and work 32 hours a week. Nothing worth having will come easy, and whether or not you start estrogen now or 2 years from now, IT WILL NOT CURE YOUR DEPRESSION. You still will never bear children, never have a period, and more than likely never nurse a child. Your hipbones and height and shoulder width (the skeletal width) will not change. You may still have to do voice work, hair removal, possible ffs, and of course the costs and pain of srs and recovery.
That was a 9-inch typo! LOL
It puts your posts in a whole new light.
hahahahaha for suuuure lol
yeah i am definitely not 6'10" lol
Sounds like it went off perfectly, and judging by your photo, so it should have. We really are our own worst enemies sometimes. I am 6'2", and still had a student guess my age as about 30 at the Queer Students do at Uni on Friday.
I would have to agree with what Jamiep said. Appropriate hairstyle and clothing for your age, plus a great attitude adds up to passing a lot more than one realizes. Dressing outside the "norm" for a public place (shopping, events, etc.) is bound to get an MtF clocked every time. Another plus for you is that great smile that you display in your picture.
