Last Saturday, April 28, hundreds of people assembled in Salem, OR to march in support of women's rights. The march culminated in a rally at the state capitol, where numerous speakers (including Secretary of State Kate Brown) addressed the many attacks on women and on reproductive rights being waged in legislatures across the country and in Congress.
Jenn Burleton took the podium to discuss an often-overlooked minority in the fight for equality, transgender women. She is the Executive Director of TransActive, an internationally recognized non-profit focused on serving the diverse needs of transgender and gender nonconforming children, youth, their families and allies. Burleton spoke passionately about the interlocking struggles of all women
