hi, OK so I've decided i want to start transitioning (FTM) but really have no clue who to talk to about it. should i speak with my GP or is there a certain doctor or person i should speak with, i really need help with this

the first step should be going to a therapist. it isn't that i'm saying you need therapy, but that's the person who would be your go to for different steps like hrt or whatever. the therapist, preferably specializing in gender should be able to point you in the direction you need to go atm. if you can't find a gender therapist, that's fine, a general therapist will do as long as they have some competence in the subject. i would do a search for some transgender treatment centers around where you live. there's also a list of some resources on this site that you could use, but the first step would be therapy, which is usually only 3 months until you could get permission for hrt and things like that. in the meantime, you might want to do some things like buying male clothes or just practicing a little at being the male you wish to be. it's not that you have to go fulltime immediately. that took time for me.
