Just raise your hand. I haven't been to one in years. Hugs, Devlyn
I used to go there all the time when I was a kid. I haven't been to one in 40 some years.
I <3 White Castle!
I haven't been to one in awhile, though. I think the last time I went to one was on my way up to Illinois. Oh, I miss it. I could eat the hell out of those burgers.
I'm so craving White Castle right now. There's plently of White Castle places around St. Louis. Sauteed ground beef, gooey melted cheese, on a steamed bun with pickles and onions.
They do have one or two tiny shack drive ups in my area in the 1960's through the 1980's. They didn't do well here save for the few Illinois transplants that want their bag of sliders. I never went to one. They were always on the other side of town.

They don't have White Castle restaurants on my neck of the woods, but they do have frozen White Castle burgers at the supermarket.
Sliders are found on more menus these days, so White Castle will expand beyond its mid-west base.
There are three White Castles over by where I live. About 10-20 miles from my place in MN. I love eating at White Castle! There is one up north couple hours drive to a cabin I go to, so I'll stop there before stopping over at my buddies cabin.
I went once or twice in Atlanta. I wish I could go back.
The only downside about the White Castle cheeseburgers are the small size but it does taste yummy! :P
Explain what a White Castle is?

OK Themed eateries?
Do they all look the same? That seems to be a common thing in the USA, my brother and sister in law have just returned for a visit. They like Cracker Barrel ? again I wasn't too sure what it was
The White Castle burgers taste a lot different compared to other burgers. Either you'll love it or you'll hate it. Some people hate it because of the runs it causes. I think it's because of the onions. I can eat a crap load of white castle burgers & I don't get the runs. I love the white castle cheese burgers, they are very yummy!
It's even made the movies

I get them at the grocery store. Frozen. Just heat and eat.
Down South the equivalent of White Castle burger is a Krystal burger.
@V M  The only reason I know about White Castle is because of that movie!
X
LOL... That was a pretty funny movie

All the White Castles look the same. Little yummy steamed grilled burgers served in a box !
Cracker Barrel is a chain from Tennessee, all of them have a gift shop attached to them, and "southern cooking" like southern Ham, and Grits, and chicken with dumplings.
I like White Castles, the nearest is 35 miles from me.

I didn't even know it was a real food place. >.< lolz
It is the oldest fast food chain in the USA, if I remember correctly.
In my 60 something years, I never been to a White Castle or a Cracker Barrel. I've never lived near one before, at least until recently. A Cracker Barrel did just open in our town just a few months back. I'm not sure that I'd visit it though. I understand they pride themselves on large meals. I just don't enjoying having large meals anymore. Thanksgiving and Christmas are exceptions, I guess there's an emotional element involved with those two days.
They make small hamburgers that seem to be steamed cooked with onions.
Their frozen patties have holes in them which disappear after cooking, must save them meat and money.
In the southeastern states, there is a chain called Krystal that sells similar burgers but I think they have mustard on them. That chain has been in financial difficulty over some of the past, with various owners over time, if I remember right. It started in Tennessee I believe.

I remember those. Called "Sliders".
They are really good, but worst heartburn ever. ;D
When was the last time that you had a White Castle or a Krystal hamburger?
They are similar. Krystal I think comes with mustard.
