As some of you may know I am recently new to hrt. This may sound gross but it is what it is..... I am curious if yellowing toe nails are a sign that something is "off" with my regimen? The only reson I ask is because there are so many different things to be looking for.
It's possible. Hormones have quite a bit to do with nail health. Furthermore, the health of nails is a big indicator of your health in general.
Yellowing nails could result from a fungal infection or jaundice, or even something I have never heard of before - "Yellow Nail Syndrome"

I hope it's nothing.
I've never thought as nail health a sign of over all health but it make sense the more I think about it. THANKS!
Keep in mind, toenails grow at a rate where the full nail is usually grown out over a very long period. Up to 9 months, in fact, is needed to replace 1 full length toenail. It's entirely possible that whatever has made your toenails that color predated HRT, depending on where the yellowing is occuring (if the yellowing is in fact on the toe nail, and not in the nail bed).
How is your liver ? Did you get a blood test before starting HRT ?
It may be coincidence but it is sensible for your medic to check. Yellowing of the nails is often a sign of fungal infection particularly Candida (Thrush). How does you tongue look? If it looks a bit whitish and 'hairy' and maybe swollen, it could well be Thrush.
Talk. To. Doctor. Please. It could be serious
You need to do liver function tests
See if it is elevated
Note that if you are on pills, metabolism is occur in liver other than patches or injection
could also just be that if you paint your toenails with red nail polish, they do turn yellow after a while...
