This pretty much sums up my thoughts as well.

That article isn't there any more. I read the article and didn't see the line in question. ???
It's definitely still there. CTRL + F the phrase of the line and you will see it.
I saw the line. That is...wow. That's about all I have.
That and some vegetarians say that they only won't eat animals that have a face so animals like chicken and fish don't count to them. -shrug- I don't get it, but it's what I've heard.

They aren't vegetarians then.
:/ So many people would respond to me being vegan with "Do you eat fish?" I guess it's not all that important to what I wanted to say, but yeah, people can be odd.
It seems like most of the time ignorance is just that. It's a lack of understanding that we all too often interpret as malice. This person obviously doesn't get the difference between gender and sexuality, but I guess it can be a teaching opportunity.

Do chickens not have faces, or...?
they just have bums , i had a friend who was a avid animal rights activists always lecturing everyone to stop eating meat or wearing leather etc, but then shed occasionally be like " i just ate a little bit of meat at this barbeque "
on the other hand my boyfriend is a vegan and never really talks about unless someone asks him or lectures anyone
haha

Only if they are willing to learn. Many people don't
want to believe differently, so they don't.

Cluck!
Eh...it's just ignorance I think. As a gay vegetarian, I think it's a bit ridiculous. Personally I have no problems with "flexitarians" or "pescetarians" as long as they (and other people) understand they aren't actually vegetarian or vegan. And I laughed at the "kind of married" because some people actually are like that. Not trying to get political but I consider civil unions and domestic partnerships to be "kind of married" (honestly it's a second class marriage). So...Still ridiculous and offensive, but it's the internet and people say ridiculous and offensive things.
Well, its just being plainly ignorant, but since it seams so stupid I didnt really felt offended..
I mean, yeah it seams alittle messed, but insteed of actually helping or making an usefull answer it just to make fun of the situation.

I think they do, lol. It was just the girl's reasoning. I could never get behind it because meat is meat is meat. To me eating chicken or fish means you're not a vegetarian because vegetarians don't eat meat from what I've learned.
Then you get people like my SO who tell it how it is:
"Fish-murdering breed of heartless fake veggie" ;D
Said that to describe himself ;)
As for that line in the article.. meh, not even worth bothering with :P
At the bottom of the page it said "The advice given may not be useful, but it will be humorous." Always consider the source. Hugs, Devlyn
