Title: Outed today by the Jehovah Witnesses.
Post by: Laura823 on April 04, 2007, 08:38:19 PM
My wife does not have a problem with my GID.  She has said that she enjoys being around me more after beginning HRT.  The only condition that she has asked for is that I not wear skirts outside the house in the neighborhood.  Not a problem.

Well today, I was dressed in a nice skirt, pink T, 1-1/2 heels, ear rings, and my ever present cancer hat. (I am severely folicly challenged) Working around the house.  The door bell rings.  I walk to the door and open it. Outside are 2 young ladies.  One has a bible and starts with her pitch.  The other is pushing a baby carriage.  The 1st girl only stops when I ask if I can come to church wearing my new skirt.

Yes, I was clocked.  But I don't think our doorbell will be rung again in the near future.

Sounds like when my Pagan friend set up a devil worshipping event as a joke when the JW were coming through her neighborhood.

I don't like them knocking on my door, it's annoying. I just feel like going to their church to hand out Atheism and Evolution packets.

That's the MO, all right... Two well-dressed women, one pushing an infant or a toddler in a stroller, as if the child is a talisman to ward off evil.

One time they left a WATCHTOWER on the front porch.  We left it there through five seasons, and never got bothered during that time...

LOL  ;D  I do not agree with Jehovah's Witnesses, nor do I appreciate it when they show up on my doorstep and ask "have you found Jesus, yet?".  Nevertheless, I am mindful of the fact that they have the right to believe and worship as they so choose, I just wish they wouldn't be so pushy in trying to "save" us all.  ;)

Ya know. Not to cast aspersions on anyone of any religion, but I must say Jehovah Witnesses are the only people who routinely leave pamphlets stuck in my storage room door. It's an obvious storage room and I've never had any confusion other than JW's. But one of them asked me once, when I answered the door, who lived there. I said, my freezer. I keep the dead bodies there. They still left a pamphlet in the door.

Can't recall. Do JW's believe in resurrection?

they are kinda irritating, i hate it when others try to "save me".  im sorry, i dont believe in any christian religeon, i am of spirituality with the planet around us, or mother earth.  I hold much reverance for that which gives me shelter and food, and one day i believe that i will become one with her.  So i just hate having people save me from a big man in the sky that is going to send me to a burning place that i dont even believe in.  it is just irritating.....grrrrr.

A car full of JW's drove up my long driveway one day. My dog immediately placed herself at the driver's door with a protective stance and menacing growl.

The driver rolled down his window part way and asked: "Will she bite if we get out of the car?"  I said "I don't know... she's never tasted a Jehovah Witness before."

I could see him quickly decide that he and his troupe would remain in the car.  He attempted to pass me a pamphlet through the open window.  Pepper dog flew through the air, mouth open, ready to tear the guy's hand off. That fellow pulled his hand and pamphlet in so quickly that he left skin on his window.  Pepper dog turned and gave him the most terrifying response I've ever seen from her. The hair down her spine stood straight up, her jaw appeared a foot wide, and the devil himself must have shown his face in hers.

That was three years ago and they have not returned.  Pepper dog loves to chase my neighbors cars. But they put up with her.  In fact, they all love her.  For the JW's have not passed my place to visit theirs in those three years.

Now, if they bother you.  Invite them in for prayer.  Ask them to kneel and offer a prayer of your choosing.  Tell them they can come back anytime to share prayer with you. You'll not see them again.

I have it bad where I live with JWs. They tend to come once a month and try to get me to go to there church. When I was younger they stop for two years after my late uncle answered the door as a Klingon. He came over just tell my father how his trip to Las Vegas Klingon convention went. The JWs started going on about if he continued being a Klingon that he would go to hell. So my Uncle started to act like one. It was funny. They left after getting tired of hearing my Uncle (who is a big Christian) speech in Klingon. I still laugh about even to this day about 6 years latter.

by the way I have nothing against JWs except that the sell there religion.

I lived on a small five acre lot when I had a JW experience.... Being very much the "naturist at heart" and it was laundry day anyway, I answered to door naked.....go figure they left without so much as a howdy dooo....

I don't talk about this much... but it seems appropriate in this thread for some reason.  I grew up in a Mormon family.  And I did the Mormon mission in Chile for two years when I was 19. So, like the JW's, I went around from house to house, knocking on doors and selling religion. (Can you imagine me doing that?)

I can remember that towards the end of my two year imprisonment (and when the GID was worst after being cooped up with another man for all that time), we knocked on a door and two young lesbian women answered wearing practically nothing. We had caught them in the middle of a romantic interlude.  I was terribly embarrassed and wanted to leave. My companion wedged his foot in the door so he could get a better look.  He kept wanting to go back there.  I kept wanting to die.

Well to be very truthful I always talk to them.  I know how to push their buttons and the sadistic streak in me gets the better of me sometimes.  It usually takes me about 10 minutes to confuse them so badly that they never come back.  True confession time:  I once found out where this one guy lived and went and knocked on their door.  Said I had to follow up on what he started.  Never heard from them again.

BTW, what do you get when you cross a Jehovah's Witness with a Methodist?

Someone who keeps knocking on your door but has nothing to say.
(Of course insert your favorite denomination in the first part.)

I heard the worst thing you can do is be polite, clear and firm. I read somewhere that they expect rude behaviour from our kind. They are trained to respond to that. But being respectful and direct really throws them. Seemed to work for me.

I asked this one guy, "Can you people not come here anymore? We have our own religions here that we are happy with." He said alright.

A month later another set of people came to the door. I said, "I asked the previous person that we didn't want to be bothered anymore. What is it that I have to do to get you people to stop coming to my house? Do I have to call someone? Is there a list?"

She almost started to cry. She and her kids left.

No one has been back since.

It reminds me about how Agnes Brown deals with them in Brendan O'Carroll's "Mrs Brown's Boys III (Believe it or not)". She invites them in and wreak their heads by asking silly questions about the Bible.

Pretending to be dead keen and interested I did the same once.  >:D I still see them from time to time in the neighbourhood and the Mormons in pairs with their suits & ties, tight crew-cuts and bicycles but they haven't knocked on my door since.

The thing of it is, if only 144,000 (all JW) are going to make it to heaven and they have 6.7 million members worldwide, why keep recruiting.  I always tell them that since their 144,000 are already picked, I'll stick with my church were I have better odds.

I've never gotten any Jehovah's Witnesses at my house before.  I've always dreamed of the day they'd come to my door, their eyes so full of sparkly, empty hope for me to dash into the earth.  I mean, I can think of a million wonderful things I could say.  Oh God!  It' would be so fun!

Blair,

Before you jump in too quick, learn a little about them.  One thing I promise you:  It does not matter how good you are with rhetoric, they are trained to argue, and they do it well.

Good luck!

Last week a JW the size of a towering line backer came to the door.  I lost faith in God many years ago and then found faith again by reading the bible.  The JW did give me that only 144,000 will be saved speech.   First I told him that Revelation is a vision of Christ by John which is clearly stated in verse 9 and is not literal.  Second I taked about Revelation Chapter 7 verse 9 "After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,...".  I told the JW I was part of the second group. Every time he found some reason I needed to be saved I showed him why I was saved.  He told me he rarely meets a person that reads the bible.  I told him that humans judge and condemn fellow humans not God.  I then preached to the preacher.  It was interesting and I did not get punched.

<sigh> Mormons and JWs. Canberra is infested with them. You can't take a stroll through civic without being mobbed by crack duos of activists. One second you're walking along going to the shops or eating some lunch, and the next you're being flanked by a pair of black suited men with the build of security guards and the theological zeal of the Inquisitors. I once got busted by them too: wearing nothing but a bra and a black skirt. I slammed the door shut and almost keeled over and died right there.  :'( I should invest in a guard dog...

Love,

Ah, don't be too hard on them. They are just doing what they perceive they must, should.

I kind of have to admire them really, more so than the ones who just slam the door in their face. Not that I blame that thought pattern any mind. *shrug*

I wish you guys could see, know my thought pattern, the wonderful sea that I have traveled from one point of view to another. Perhaps in time I may be able to give that unto you. :P If wanted, of course.

Perhaps.

Blessed Be.

The towering linebacker JW  (6'8"?  350lbs?) came back again and he brought a friend (normal sized guy).

The big guy left me some literature to read.  I said thank you this time and did not debate with them.

If the big guy comes with two people the next time  I guess I will need to make the group iced tea.

Hmm, I remember my own run in with JW, at leat I think they were JW.

Anyway, two tennagers come by with their suits and their parents in their big old van, wanting to save me. Now I agree that people should be able to believe in what they want and all, but I told them straight up that I didn't want anyone trying to be a door to door salesman with their religion, which goes against how I feel you should preach christianity, through action and life, not words.

However they continued to argue, and I was to nice to slam my door on them, so I made them a deal. If they would listen to my question and story and answer in a fashion that I could agree with, then I would get in their van and talk to their elders. But, if they could not, then they would promise to leave me be. Hesitently they agreed and fell into my trap. ;)

I told them of the origins of the word contridiction, how a general was told by a merchant that he could by a unstoppable spear and a shield that could stop all without fail. The general then ordered the two best warriors he had to attack each other with these items. The result was that the spear broke as well as did the shield. Thus a contradiction.

After this I asked them, if you are never allowed to think about that which you preach and learn, how can you truely know that it is the right answer? If you never know, how can you know anything?

One of the boys immedietly sprung up and gave a weak answer, about how it is sinful to question God, the other tried as well but I could tell that my little story had sheken him alittle. End result was both boys left sadder but hopefully alittle wiser.

Then again, they never did leave me alone in Nebraska, guess logic is wasted on fools.

had some walk up to the door, almost looking like Nazi youths, after my mother and father had walked into the house.  They started their speech and I told them to go away.  I was pretty young at the time so they asked, "Are your parents home?" knowing that they had just walked in.  I looked at them and said, "No, not get the **** off of the porch."  They tried looking around me but I just closed the door and off they went.

Many years later and in a new house.  I was home alone and cleaning up my equipment for a game coming up that weekend.  I answered the door and behold, there stood two JWs on the porch. They turned white and fled.  Guess they thought that my marker was a big gun.  They never did come back.

1.  They hate (HATE, as the the Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon, hate) Catholics.  If you tell them your Catholic, and invite them to mass, they will leave.

2. Though I've never been all that fond of their religion (or anyone religion for that matter) I do admire their tenacity in doing it.  If you are polite, and say no thanks, they will go away.

3. The Latter Day Saints deal cracks me up.  I love seeing someone with a name badge that says "Elder Jones" when they ain't even got lip fuzz yet.

They came knocking on my door once last year in Japan when I was getting ready to go to work.  Two very homely little Japanese ladies, one wearing a skirt with unshaven legs (I still see them in my nightmares).  Thank God that they did not speak English.  Of course, I did get a pamphlet.

JW's.... ya gotta love them.

A few years ago, they came up my long driveway in a car.  There were four of them.  My Queensland Heeler (not a very big dog but an excellent coyote killer) met them when they stopped.  The driver rolled down the window and queried "Will the dog bite?"  I answered "I don't know, she's never tasted a Jehovah Witness before."  He said "Oh, well then may I give you a pamphlet?"  "You'd better not stick your hand out the window." I replied.  But it was too late.  He had his hand half way out his window and the dog had launched herself from 10 feet away.  He managed to get his hand back just in the nick of time but his pamphlet was instantly shredded.

Dog has been a real pest to my two neighbors who also share the road that runs in the front of my house.  But, for the next three years, they loved that dog.  For they did not get another visit from the Jehovah Witnesses in all that time.

144,000 in heaven as a ruling class.
Rest are servants to Jehovah on a paradise earth.

They have had several doctrine changes (aka in JW speak New Light) since I been there.
I know this crap because I was force to attend their meeting until age 17.  My half of my family are JW's which is going to make coming out interesting and very painful. I'm been pretty much been very agnostic since age 10 with everything that has happen to me.

According to the book of Revelations, 12,000 people from each of the twelve tribes of Israel will be saved. That totals 144,000. In the Lords eyes, a thousand years is like three hours on a night watch.
Try this math with creating the universe in seven days. How many worlds with inteiegent centient beings are there residing on them?

Now lets see..... where did I park my space ship last?

Cindy

Hi Cindy.  I think I can go to almost any topic and find it interesting.

The 6'3" 280 pound Black, 33 year-old, truck driver with a high school education from the Bronx still visits me every two weeks on Sunday afternoon after I attend the Methodist Church with my wife.  (I was baptized Catholic, confirmed a Lutheran, married in the Presbyterian Church, currently attend the Methodist Church, and study with a Jehovah witness.)  I guess I am a free spirit.  My wife says I will need to attend a more liberal Church if I express my inner self more openly.  I guess the Christians would reject me if I look too different.

The man that studies with me (I will call him Mr. C) frequently brings a companion to my house.  My wife will not join in the discussions and readings.  One week Mr. C brought a nice white lady (Sara- real name) to the home and we got into a discussion regarding the 16 year old girl friend of my 16 year old daughter.  My daughter's friend was a boy at 15 at their high school and befriended my daughter many years ago.  Sara felt Jehovah would accept the 16 year old girl that was born a boy.

I agree with some of the studies Mr. C has conducted but I do have issues with no blood transfusions and only the 144,000 can participate in the Lord's meal.  I got invited to the "Lord's Supper" at the Jehovah Witnesses' Church and attended.  At the meeting Sara's husband, Mark, sat next to me during the prayers and sermon.  I asked Mark how can you tell if you are one of the 144,000 and can partake in the Lord's Supper?  He told me that was easy. He said you know at birth and are selected by Jehovah and it is as clear as you know your gender.

Wow.  I am very paranoid and that analogy referring to gender makes me suspicious.  I am sure it is just one of many coincidences that I over analyze.  I did not partake in the Lord's Supper out of respect for the Jehovah witnesses and since I am not one of the 144,000.  I will partake of the Lord's Supper at the Methodist Church out of respect for Jesus Christ.  I did find the service interesting and I look forward to my studies with Mr. C.

I have a 105lb dog trained to Schutzhund 3. He is friendly but if you become aggressive towards me you better think twice because he won't. We lived in an apartment and had a real problem with the JWs. They would go around without mentioning their religion and talk about the enviroment etc. If you didn't realize they put you on their list of people who wanted to talk to them in our building and every time they were challenged they kept saying they had a list of people that wanted to talk to them and they were just visiting them. Bull but it took a bit before people realized what they were doing. My landlord, other tenants and I wrote a letter asking them not to return and sent a copy registered mail to the local kingdom hall, they ignored it. Finally one day they came to my door again, I told them to leave and tried to close the door but the guy stuck his foot in my door and started reaching for my dog. I warned him that the dog was a trained protection dog and didn't want to be touch (the dog was beginning to growl), to remove his foot and leave my home. He threatened to call the police and tell them my dog attacked him. I just laughed and told him if he did that the police would expect quite a few injuries and would charge him with filing a false report.

He refused to back off so I leashed my dog and stepped in the hall. I explained to him that his kingdom hall had been warned, he was going door to door and it was time for him to leave. I am not a big guy but I just slowly forced him back by stepping slightly into his personal space until we made it to the elevator. The whole time this guy was going nuts calling me the devil, telling me I was going to hell etc. By the end of it a couple other tenants were laughing at them. The woman he with was just staring at the ground while her partner cursed and called down the wrath of god on me. I wouldn't allow them to continue knocking on doors or harass anyone but me. It took about 15 minutes to make it to the front door but by then he was so out of control my landlord saw what was happening and called the police. He was arrested for trespassing once the police saw the letter we sent registered mail.

I am patient with people but if I tell you to leave I mean it and will enforce it. If I have any questions or want to talk I know where my local kingdom hall is and I will go to them. Incidentally they are allowed to knock on your door but if you write a letter like I did and they return, call the police. The police will warn them that if they don't leave or if they come back they will be arrested. That will usually stop it but if not press charges and that will stop it. I didn't see them around again.

Entertaining stories.  Especially by those with dogs.

I've also noticed, as have others, that answering the door and talking just encourages them to come back, even if you tell them you're not interested or whatever.

I just stopped answering the door.  From the sidewalk near our apartment you can tell that we're home, but I figured they'd go away eventually if I just left them out there long enough.  And they do.  Usually only takes 30 seconds, maybe a minute.  It was the weirdest feeling the first time I did it, like I was cheating on the whole solicitor-solicitee relationship.  I muted the TV and didn't make a sound, lest I be found out.  And then I realized that hey, these people were showing up uninvited at my home.  If I don't feel like opening the door to talk to solicitors or JWs  or whatever, they can stand out there until kingdom come.  %$^! 'em.
Now, I'll turn up the TV or whatever.  I could care less if they know I'm home and they're being ignored.

The jvs are annoying but I have a story that one of my friends told me that is pagan. He was working in his shop at his house, and the jvs came and asked him to talk. He told them that it is honorable that they go to people's house and try to sell their religion. He then proceeded to tell them that he has a different way of belief, and then kindly asked them to leave.

Another story that I have is one with me. They (jvs) came and knocked on my door; so I opened the door wearing women's clothing. When the guy looked up he say a six foot tall bearded lady "don't ask" but anyway he tried to give me a watchtower mag. I told he that I didn't want it and that I didn''t want them to come back and that I didn't have time to argue with them.

Here is the story of a woman that gave birth, suffered complications and because her 'religion' dictated her thoughts, refused treatment and subsequently died.  I would suffer most things for a child given my status as a TS but I would not die for religion. I am deeply upset because this woman was blinded by JW and could not  nurse her children, and her husband had a cetain 'swagger' about him and little obvious sense of loss before the news media cameras.  >:D

For reference I have nothing per se against JW or any faith for that matter. My belief is along the lines of do what you will but if you hurt someone you will deal with me and I will care for you but will stop you. To balance the scales a little enjoy this better JW moment.

I was helping a friend on his farm when the JW showed up in their nice suits. We were busy trying to get food in before the frost and did not have any time to talk. My friend told them unless they wanted to help to go away. Much to all of our surprise these JWs took off their suit jackets, rolled up their sleeves and asked where we wanted them. For the rest of the day we talked and harvested. Afterwards we had dinner and were able to have a very interesting conversation. Nobody changed their beliefs and we all learned alot about each other respective beliefs (morman, mennonite, JW, nature and catholics). Probably my best experience with JWs.

This is exactly part of the reason why JWs actually do get converts by going door to door.  Mormons, too.  Their actions often speak louder than their words ever could.  Compared with the way many "typical" Christians behave, I'm not surprised that groups like JWs and Mormons are more effective at converting the uninterested.  They're actually willing to help people in need.  [sarcasm]Couldn't possibly be that they believe all that "love thy neighbor" stuff that Jesus was talking about. [/sarcasm]

Most of the religious people I know are good people.  You might not like JW, but you don't have to worry that you left you bike unlocked either.  I'm not thrilled to be preached at or converted, however 12 years of Catholic School gives me a certain immunity to it.  People should be free to have whatever faith they like, or what works for them - but I'm free not to buy into it also.

Cindy if you came to my door I would invite you in for a cup of tea.  I would ask you, "What can I do with my hair!"  The JW told me last week that my hair looks like one of the Beatles in the 70's.

We haven't been bothered by Jehovah Witnesses ever since one incident...

It was about five in the evening and they knocked on the door, my dad opened and they did their speech about how they were from the church of whatever, well, without missing a beat my dad replies with "Hi, We're from the Church of Satanic Rights." <.<...Their faces actually lost color and they stormed away.....Havent been back since then...

I have a funny story that involves scaring JW away.  I personally have nothing against them, usually don't have to deal with em, but I have a cruel sense of humor, so I found this humorous.  This was something someone I used to know did with one of his friends.

The person's friend lived in a neighborhood that warned everyone when the JW were coming through.  Well at the time that the call came, the two of them were butchering a side of beef in the garage.  When they heard the JW were coming through, they hauled a bunch of tarps in the living room and put the side of beef on top of it.  They then stripped down naked, and just chopped at the beef, getting themselves covered in blood.  When they heard the doorbell ring, the friend went to the door and answered, the person I knew cutting the beef up with an evil smile on his face.  The guy answering the door still had the butcher's knife in his hand and asked what they wanted rudely.  The JW's promptly ran, and called the cops.

The two counted on this, and pulled the meat and stuff back into the garage, cleaned off, and stored the tarps away, putting them in the washing machine to wash.  They then clothed and went back to butchering the meat when the cops rang the door.  The friend answered, and the cops said some JW reported two people killing a man at the address they were at, to which the friend said "No officer, I mean I'm butchering some beef, but no killing here."  The cops went into the garage to see, noting the neat packages of already cut beef, and the side of beef currently being cut.  The officers just looked at him said, "You did that on purpose didn't you" and promtly started laughing, the whole group.  The cops said, "Next time you pull a stunt like this warn us at least, that scared the crap out of us."

When I found this story out I laughed so hard I almost peed, It was horrible, but funny.  I mean the JW no ill will, but they are sure fun to mess with.

I usually quite enjoy slamming the door on them (or Mormons which we also get), and the look on the lady's face last week when I answered the door with glittery eye makeup on made my day.  :)

I do have to make the observation though that a religious organisation handing out pamphlets pleading to "end the suffering" seems an awful lot like an arsonist selling fire extinguishers to me.

In my last employment, my immediate manager was a JW and he was under instructions to keep his religion out of the work place.   This didnt stop his general attitude towards me as a person and my refusal to enter any debate about life, sex, society and his distance from the rest of us when birthdays and Chistmas came around.

He suspected that I was 'different' in some way and he constantly tried to entrap me with his comments and suggestions and his general nasty attitude towards me.  He made life hard for me and when I had my stroke, he visited me in the hospital.  I could not speak and was paralysed yet he lauched into a sermon and left a copy of their special bible with me and the words that I need to read it urgently  ::)..

Heaven only knows what he meant or what his motive was but I was glad to be told soon after that my job had ended due to my expected long term recovery and I was soooooooo happy not to have to see that man ever again.  That was 6 years ago but I did see him in a store a few months back, and although I am living as a woman now in full transition, he recognised me .  Without a word, he scurried out of the store leaving his basket where he had stood as if his trousers were on fire  :)    Oh the joy of it

Hi Jennifer, maybe the devil set his boxers on fire, "Hee, hee, hee!" I love a good one every now and again, good for what ails you. I don't belong to any religion and not bothered by JW's But there was a time I loved them coming over to preach to me and I would end up preaching to them. After a time they gave up and stopped coming around, their heads probably still suffering from a cerebral cortex tail spin, maybe a little jet lag too. "Hee, hee, hee." I got me my own patchwork faith and I keep it to myself.

Hi  Rachel
Well, in its simplest form my patchwork beliefs consist mainly as I describe it below, in a nutshell.

I picked up my beliefs from researching and reading old scripts from archaeological artifacts, Egyptology, Greek, and the Sumarians nort to exclude tthe many other North and South American native legends. My, oh my, I was a book worm back then! I would read anything I could get my hands on when it came to metaphysics and quantum physics. Both of these cover or try to uncover and decipher that which is spiritual elements, or none physical that we can only guess at through the inference. All books of knowledge come to an end because they have a limit in their teachings and descriptions in attempting to measure infinity with finite measuring sticks. Now if one was to apply or use the mathematical equations of astro-physics E=mc2 and the ethereal grid like works of universe.

After moved here, didn;t have to much problems, then again I lived across from a catholic church for a while and the place at now they can't enter the appartment building without the staff upstairs allowing them to.  Did get stuff with living with one for a few months though.  That didn;t go well.

Rachel,
Quoteperfect example of one that needs to butt out, putting religeon and work together is never good unless you work in a church, and even then its iffy.

I mentioned to my gender clinic psychiatrist the wonderful work that the hospital chaplain did on me when I was flat on my back following the 3rd stroke and fearing the worst of outcomes.  Totally paralysed below my neck, I could still manage to speak ( an odd situation because the 1st stoke wrecked my speech skills and voice tone ) and managed to relate how I had always felt I should be born a girl and that now ( the situation at that time ) it was too late to do anything about it.   He looked at me with great intensity for a moment and sqweezed my hand and said that I should try to have a good sleep and that all will be good when I awake.

Well now,  as expected, nothing felt any different when I awoke and I was feeling bitter and frustrated and puzzled by his words.  It was then that the JW ex co-worker/manager came to visit me and he started his speech about the evils and wrongdoings that I was being punished for by God/Jehova and I swear that my already high blood pressure went into hyper status and that steam could be seen eminating from my orifaces.

Anyway, soon after discharge from hospital, that chaplain came to see me at home just to check up on me and my 'spiritual' state of mind and at no time either in hospital or at home did he ever try to 'peddle' religion.  He never EVER once asked me if I was a Christian or if I had any faith at all.   He simoply offered me support and a measure of understanding of how I felt about myself as a person.   To condense my story since that time, I had that moment, the Eureka moment of clarity and that I needed to get off my butt and do something.

It is said that God works in mysterious ways..... :-\

There seems to be a situation developing here where I live in that there may be a turf war in progress between the JW's and the Mormons. Every Friday they troop around my locality knocking on doors, approaching people on the street and generally making themselves obvious at pinch points at the shopping mall and guess what?  I am gettting mighty tired of dodging these people and I have to ask this question of them all, WHY DO YOU NEED TO CONVERT EVERYONE IF THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE GOD? If it were true then it hardly matters does it?  ???

Hi Rachel hon, I have also studied some of the Qabalah. this again only a condensed version of Creation, the Creator's hand maiden  stood at his/her side and witnessed creation itself. The Creator's hand maiden fell in love with the Creator but the Creator wasn't able to be in one, single place in order to be with her, or all else in creation would cease to exist.  Instead the Creator  left her the gift to bring forth life to the universe as a temporary recompense till such a time they could join as one once more. This goddess-like entity became known as the Sacred Feminine.

This goddess-like entity became known as the Sacred Feminine.
