I like cherry! Hugs, Devlyn
Chocolate cream is my favorite. But I have a friend who makes an awesome lemon meringue. The lemon part is tremendously tart while the meringue is extremely sweet. The combination in every bite is fantastic.

It is true the rubes are found most everywhere.
I am, however, cultured.

Or stewed steak and potato, the way my mum used to make it.
Most everything is better the "way mother used to make it."
After she went to work and sat at her desk all day long in those tight nylons and she came home smelling so wonderful i just had to have some POSSUM PIE >:-)

Well my mom never had access to a lot of herbs and the kinds of ingredients we get now. Or the internet. But she did sweets much better than I do. I don't bake anything. I used to bake quick breads (i.e. banana bread) but the high altitude has me so confused I don't bother anymore.
Pies-- Key Lime. It has to be in Key West though.

Mmmm. Key Lime Pie
Or perhaps margarita pie? ;D
Mmmm. Margarita Pie
How could we forget the classic? "What are you going to do with those pies, boys?" Hugs, Devlyn
Rhubarb is my favorite, I think. Though I do like pumpkin pie and pecan pie quite a lot, too.
Oh. Would Boston Cream Pie count, or is it too cake-like? :P

Mmmm. Key Lime Pie
I didn't think much of Key Lime 10 years ago when they served it with the neon-green filler at the restaurants at the time. I didn't until I went to Key West. That had a yellowish-custard color and the taste was light years away from the mainland restaurant offerings. When I went back home and a waitress asked me if I wanted Key Lime pie, I said "No, I had the real thing"!
Me and a cousin joked "Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pi" and we drew a large pi symbol and then tried to draw 24 blackbirds within.

My fav is strawberry. I also like chocolate and Strawberry cheesecake.

Food colorings are added to products like Key Lime Pie because of perceived consumer preferences. A home-made Key Lime Pie is exactly as you describe.
Strawberry pie, loaded with fresh strawberries.
Strawberry-rhubarb pie! Mmmm! :D
