Honestly, I have the feeling I've passed by this site before. Buut, I've been having a lot of deja-vu lately, so who knows...
I think I'll start with a basic "about me" post, and get to more personal "what's wrong with me" stuff later.
Basically, I'm young, but an adult, living at home while I finish school, which limits my privacy (We only have the once computer right now since my own laptop died).
My interests are mainly video games, anime, manga, and the like. Most of my favorite tunes and artists come from either an anime (especially Cowboy Bebop or the Dot Hack series) or a game (Final Fantasy!), but I also listen to a lot of other groups from different genres and decades.
I'm a big fan of shounen manga (like Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin) but I also read shoujo series (Absolute Boyfriend, S.A., or example) and a lot of others, especially comedies. Also, I'll read (and usually love) anything by Osamu Tezuka or CLAMP.
The reason I'm here, though, is because I'm re-examining myself and I'm really confused at what I'm finding. I'm physically male, but I've always had this effeminate side that I've been hiding. The thing is, though, I've got a bit of a boyish side too. So I end up feeling like I'm either a girlish boy or a boyish girl, and I have no idea what I am.
Oh, and my SN is taken from the manga リボンの騎士 (ribon no kishi; Ribbon Knight), which was titled "Princess Knight" in english. Basically, an angel named Tink gives the princess of Silverland is given a boy's heart as a prank, and God gives her a girl's heart before finding out. So Princess Sapphire is born with both hearts, and is raised as a princess in private, but as a prince in public (a trick to keep Duke Duralumin from inheriting the throne). But I really feel a connection with Sapphire (it's hard to choose an appropriate pronoun in Sapphire's case) because that's sort of how I see myself- publicly a boy, privately a girl...

I've always liked Osamu Tesuka's work, and the sheer breadth and variety of themes he explored was amazing. I have trouble coping with the artstyle of most CLAMP publications - and Card Captor Sakura made my teeth rot.
It's fine to be confused or questioning about yourself, especially if you're young, and I think it's a healthy thing. Take your time, don't be in a rush - there are a lot of people here with differing life experiences who are willing to answer questions.
And remember, gender and gender roles/behaviours are not as binary as the majority of people think.

Hi welcome to Susans! :) Cowboy Bebop does have some awesome tunes especially from Knocking on Heaven's door. I mostly listen to anime and video game music more than any other forms of mujsic.
