Title: "upper cheast" after top surgery
Post by: Natkat on June 11, 2012, 11:14:44 AM
I had keyhole for a half year ago, as I mention in another thread

I had some blod gathering together in my right side* (dont remember the english word for it sorry) and I was told to check up if it would disapear naturally by itself. which I did and the doctor said it was fine.

But I still have my upper body to be bigger than my lower one, I got told its mucless and I should just train, But I find it hard to train my lower body without my upper body, and even when I train, it seams pretty hopeless.

is there anything I should do?
will it go away or stay like this?, I seen a couple of ftm who also got this cheast where there upper body is slightly bigger than the lower half.

I think the word you are looking for is called a haematoma. Blood collecting under the skin in a sort of blood-clot. I had one the size of a dove-egg above my pubis after SRS, and it was pretty sensitive for a short while, about 5 – 6 weeks.
My surgeon said to just leave it alone as it will normally disappear after a short while - and it completely disappeared.
I'm not sure how long to wait. 1 - 2 month, if it does not go away it needs to be drained or surgically removed.

It can take upwards of two years for surgery swelling to go down, especially with keyhole type procedures.

Also I'm unsure what you mean by your upper body being larger than your lower body.  Do you have large pecs or what?  A photo or something might be helpful in illustrating your point.

yes it's haematoma. I had that in the right side, But last time I got it checked he said it was gone,
I am still way more swelling looking at my right thought, but I also use my right hand more than I use my left hand.

Argh I had a nasty hematoma post chest surgery  on my right side that I had to have drained--with a huge freakin needle--3 different sessions. That ->-bleeped-<- sucked.

If you're talking about your upper pec muscles being larger than what was once where your breasts were, well I can speak to that as well: I had no idea I had such big upper pecs until my boobs were gone lol. Push ups and bench presses are good for your chest muscles, as you already know, so...just work out some and you'll be fine :)

Urg, well threatment dosen't scare me that much, But the fact that I didnt had my surgery in my country makes it kind of expensive and troublesome since there arnt so many people here who can, or wanna help you.

I think it might be because I have bind for alot of years with bandage and binders so where I been binding My mucles haven't been able to develope probably together with the rest of my cheast. its my theori

I have trained alittle, but I am alittle scared of the mucles to get even bigger. :-\

I do not believe that is a muscle, but I'm not a doctor and don't know about human anatomy.  I personally would consult a doctor soon.

Sorry to say but I'm 95% sure that's not muscle, could be swelling that hasn't gone down, could be excess tissue that that wasn't removed. Either way unfortunately you are going to need to see a medical professional if you want it gone.

Thanks for replying, I am sorry for the late response but it went hard on me so I had to get used to the though.

As I said its troublesome where I live, BUT good news!,
I got a doctor recomened by a transguy, and I called them asking if they where okay with dealing with transpeople and they said it was no problem and sounded friendly so I changed immedentaly.
So I finally have a doctor who is willing to help me out, which mean I might be able to get the threatment/examination without leaving the country (which will spare me ALOT of money)
I hope.. ::)
