Title: The day has finally come :)
Post by: AlexanderReese on June 14, 2012, 02:27:29 PM
Today, my girlfriend and I went to my therapist and I was finally diagnosed, given my referral to an endocrinologist, and she is going to be typing up my Carry Letter. :)
My first initial appointment with my endo is July 11th. I know it's blood work/exams etc, but can anyone tell me what these all consist of? How long afterthe initial appointment did you have to wait to start your T? General questions I suppose.Etc. I feel like I 've been reborn and I haven't even started T yet! It was a big step, and I'm already printing out my papers for my name change via court. I feel so happy and excited. I've waited a long time for this and today was a new beginning for me. Again, any information would help. I know by different states and such it might be a little different but, just a general idea of what takes place/ time frame, etc. would be amazing.

I live in Wisconsin like I think I've said a million times lol, but any advice from anyone ANYWHERE is gladly gladly taken to heart.
:) <3

I swear I responded to this....

I went into the doctor --- she said the junk that would happen while on T --- what I needed to do to help bad stuff from happening.  The doctor is in the same medical network so she had my labs from my primary doctor.  She gave me a script right then and there.  She did the same for my son --- who hadn't had any labs done.

I had my first shot of T on Jan. 1.  Changed my name and driver's license on April 3rd -- I had a letter from my doctor saying I had permenant changes so I could change the gender marker on my driver's license (I am in Minnesota).  I need to do my passport - just haven't done the paperwork.  I changed all my work paperwork on April 4th.

Congratulations bro :) since I had figured things out with a therapist before I got into details with a GP about testosterone, I had my first shot during my appointment with my doctor who was at a clinic that specialized in GID and hormone therapy for both FTM and MTF.

Stay excited!! I'm sure everything will go great. Keep us all updated.
