Title: CRAP!!!
Post by: jsorter on June 15, 2012, 10:56:51 PM
My kid just noticed my growing boobs and I'm not out yet! I lucked out by using the excuse I haven't worked out since march. What am I to do next time this happens?

Buy a binder? While you might be MTF, a binder that FTMs use will do just what you want until you want to come out.

In my case, I try to be as honest as possible. My little daugher at age 8 is very curious, asking qeustions everyday. "Dady, why do you keep your hair long?" "Dady, your long hair can cause some problem in your work place, can't it?" "Why do  you wear bra?" "Dady is like mom, and mom is like dad", and etc.

As I do not get HRT, my kids would not ask that question. But they know well that I sometimes wear skirts and heels. Their level of intelligence is the same as adults, or better. I do not explain in detail, but they judge and understand based on my action rather than my talk.

Yeah, I agree this is the best way to be with them, because they're your kids at the end of the day. Sit them down and explain whats going on and i'm sure they'll be supportive and enthusiastic. They see you every day and are smart, so will no doubt begin to piece things together and wonder. So if you explain it to them and treat them as adults then you'll live a much more stress-free life!

Be honest and tell him or her!. In the U.K we usually have to show the psych's we are living full time before we are allowed a script to go on hormones.

They are 15, 14 and 8 years old. My elder two sons grew while watching my wearing skirts and heels. My wife does not care about my wearing, although she intially got some negative responses from her female friends and neighbors. Sometimes she wears my skirts without my permission. I usually wear hers only if she no longer uses them such as old handbags, never-opened tights and too big jackets. One thing she does not like is my wearing a tube top in front of my family.

On the other hand, my little daughter just began to recognize differences between her dad and other dads, asking basic questions. The stereotype of m2f trassexual here in my country is not so much negative, partly owing to Ha Ri Su. My two sons probably know about transsexualism, and I think my daugher will do, too. This kind of gender identity of dad is a minor issue to my family, compared with other important issues such as education, entrance examination, and family finance. Above all, my kids and my wife respect me, mainly because of my academic career and current faculty position, which guarantees stable income and pension.

Interestingly, my daughter especially like fashion and cosmestic items of me. Once she wanted to wear blue manicure of mine, and I gave it to her, but my wife scolded her as she was too young. Also, she liked wearing my red high heel sandals, although they are too big for her little feet.

you could say that you have a hormone imbalance, but that you are seeing a dr. and everything is ok.    At least that way you are not totally lying.
