Hey guys and gals and everyone else :police: Where can i find some clothing that is androgynous and wont break my piggy bank. I will be moving to San Francisco soon, so can I buy some there or do I have to find it online? I want something that has some cool colors too so maybe something slightly leaning to the feminine side.
Thrift stores!!! Plus they are totally ok re: you being in the "wrong department". While there yesterday I shopped in women's, men's, and kid's. The ones I go to have generic dressing rooms.
If you go to a really upper crust neighborhood, it will work better. In Chicago, I used to go to one run by the Junior League. I swear they threw out stuff after they bought it as some had original tags on it.

eh sadly though the thrift stores may not have my size. I am working on getting my weight down, I gained a alot after my back surgery. I am a size 50 waist in mens and a 3XL in tshirts I am 6 feet tall and 300, my goal is to get down to 185 someday.
Try browsing shops online, again no 'wrong department' issues and they all have varying sizes.
I do 80% of my shopping online and prices aren't always to bad depending on the store and style
:) Mods,... would this be better in the Androgynous Expression, Appearance, Fashion and Style section?
BTW, depends on where you live. THere are thrift stores near me with big and tall sections for both men and women.

Thrift stores have been mentioned. Seconded, and now nominated for a vote. There is not a better place to buy clothes and many other things. Garage sales are good too, but you may get a couple extra looks. -ms
Buy kids clothing! :P I'm a large in kids size and you can't believe how cheap their clothes and shoes are (for once im glad i have a small frame). Granted, you do have to be skinny AND have a small frame so idk take it with a grain of salt?
