Trans, the compelling new documentary to be released this year by SexSmart Films is currently available on pre-release DVD from transthemovie.com.
The film, written and directed by Chris Arnold and produced by Mark Schoen features national transgender figures and allies such as Jamison Green, Masen Davis, Kim Pearson and Dr. Christine McGinn - along with a cast of trans folk from across the nation.
There are young children, teens, older middle-class whites, people of color and sex workers. Their stories are good, bad and tragic. Their lives are shown realistically, honestly and no-holds barred. There is no narrator - any questions necessary are shown in script on the screen. The individuals are just allowed to tell their stories and the transitions are followed chronologically.
