Title: Dr. Medalie and United Healthcare?
Post by: Brayden on June 25, 2012, 09:46:14 PM
I am freshly 18, so I am looking at top surgery options.  I live in ohio, so Dr. Medalie is only about a 2 and a half hours away.  The only problem is how I am going to pay for it. Since I turned 18 in June, I was unable to get a job being that all the jobs available at the time required you to be 18. I applied to every restaurant and fast-food chain for the past two years, I live in a conservative town that is just now on the brink of openly supporting the lgbt community, so managers didn't want anything to do with me. Since I start college full tim in the fall, I  won't be able to get a job until I'm living on campus and can get an on campus job.
Anywho, my parents have insurance through united health care.  I don't really understand how the whole insurance coverage thing works.
Does anyone have experience with Dr. Medalie and united health care?
I immensely appreciate any help.

You would have to check the individual policy as the insurance company doesn't mean anything when it comes to what it covers. Each company writes up policies based on customer wants or needs.
