So my ftmfriend called me and he just got his prescription for T yay! Ayway he's lately been running and dieting a lot and it is working cause he has Avery lean physique now and his chest is much flatter than it used to be. He's been saying it's cause he wants to get the keyhole top surgery but why is that different? Sorry but I'm not an ftm so this isn't my area of expertise.
Thanks!
Well minimal scaring. The incision is on the edge of the areola as oppsed to doublie incision which is like this http://loadingoliver.tumblr.com/ (http://loadingoliver.tumblr.com/) (linking to him cause he has a lot of photos right at the top) But it depends on your friends breast size, skin strength and elasticity.
It's really a situation where you have to think about everything. While the scars are minimal, nearly non-existent for most, most people need at least 1-2 revisions. Where as with double incision you don't normally need any revisions.

Thanks! I've been reading up about it an di think he can do it. Right now I seriously doubt he's anything over a very small B.
Pretty much they cut around the nipple, suck out the tissue and sew the nipple back in place. Guys with small chests and skin in that area that isn't so elastic tend to opt for this because there's less scarring, less recovery time, etc.

I was under the impression that your skin had to be more elastic for this surgery, if your skin wasn't elastic it would be all stretched out from having the extra tissue in there and thus wouldn't bounce back to the chest.

<.< You might be right there.
You need tight skin. I think that covers it.
its always a good idea to be in shape before surgery, it will gives a better result no matter what kind of surgery you get.
actually breasts shrinking on T doesn't really help all that much, because as has been mentioned, there shouldn't be any loose skin for the procedure to give good results. So if someone goes from a C to an A cup, the skin won't be tight at all.
