It's now almost 4 weeks without estrogen, and is it possible to have these latent effects?
1. Is it normal to feel what seems to be warm rushes or flashes that last about 30 seconds, and sometimes up to a minute or two? (not hot flashes) These happen a couple times a day, and don't feel bad in any way. They happen when doing paperwork, or when watching TV, and never happens when doing physical work. Kind of like being embraced by someone with a blanket on a cold day. Very odd.
2. Shouldn't breast tenderness disappear after a couple weeks?
why did you stop?
1. Hot flashes come in a variety of temperatures, not just hot. Those are probably menopausal symptoms.
2. I'm under the impression breast tenderness does not go away...even adult cis-women complain of this, and that's why punching a woman in the breasts is painful to them. (They told me this, I didn't find out by punching)
I stopped when the doctor wouldn't continue the low dose prescription I was on. So I waited for a real Trans Therapist as promised. After two firm promises from my doctor and the chief psychiatrist for Trans Health, nothing has happened, and the deadlines they gave me came and went.
How frustrated do they want patients to get.
Thanks for the information about hot flashes Beth. I'm just a little surprised they're still around. Anyway, it's not at all discomforting.
But, breast tenderness is a bit of a surprise. It kept me awake last night.

Are you still on an anti-androgen.
When I had to stop HRT due to stopping aspirin therapy and Plavix, I felt more psychological symptoms than physical symptoms.
Knowing that it is probably mild hot flashes makes me feel better about it, and the breast tenderness went away with advil. As long as it's normal there is no worry.
No anti androgens either. My GRD meds acts as a very mild anti angdrogen, but according to the doctor it's not enough to effect anything.
Good news, the psychiatrict called and gave me the name of the person I need to talk to. I'm leaving to do some work in Michigan for 2 months, so she wants me to call and talk to my regular doctor again.
Thanks, Kathy.
