House Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) attorneys on Friday formally appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court an appeals court decision determining the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional.
....
The court ruling that was appealed was the First Circuit Court of Appeals decision in the cases of Gill v. Office of Personnel Management... and Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Department of Health & Human Services. On May 31, the appellate court issued a decision that Section 3 of DOMA, which prohibits federal recognition of same-sex marriage, was unconstitutional as a result of both cases.
....
[T]he court is in summer recess.
....
The cost cap to pay for House expenses in defending the law was set at $1.5 million.
These people just wont be happy with lgbt people having rights. This is the sad reality that we have to fight against.
Yet another reason to vote against them!
Another reminder as to why we should not vote for them. If it was up to them we will be in jail, concentration camps, psychiatric wards, or death
We should remember that it was these kind of people who plunged western civilizations into the dark ages.
If they would have not taken over, the human race would be colonizing the stars by now.
