So, I'm going to start my research on SRS surgeons. For the longest, I've been thinking of going to Suporn but now I'm not sure if I want to travel to Thailand. Any Suporn girls here who are happy/unhappy?
Can any girls who've had it done in the States share your experience? Who was your surgeon? Are you satisfied/unsatisfied? Did you have to get any revisions? Feel free to message me if you feel uncomfortable posting here.
Thanks gals!
Hi Jen,
I had SRS with Dr Suporn in December, 2010. I am very happy with my result.
I've posted a bit about my experience here. If you have any specific questions
I will be glad to share.
Choosing your surgeon is a difficult task. Beyond the cost alot of the factors
are subjective.
If I were to do it over I would go to Dr Suporn again. But if for some reason
I decided I needed to stay in North America, I would consider Dr Brassard
my first choice.
Elaina
Congratulations for taking a step further in your transition. Different techniques in different hands give different results. Make a list of expectations and take it from there. I think that Suporn is a good choice, even though there are many good doctors out there doing SRS. It is a once in a life time decision so take your time. I wish you best of luck :)
You might want to also look at Dr Sanguan Kunapom for srs and he and his staff we great with my ex, he is one of few doc's that I've heard that checks is patients daily even on the weekends, she stayed in the hospital till all surgery was done and able to dilate by herself then discharged, she came back as a out patient a few days laters when it was time to remove the stitches and check up then flew home later that day after a tour around the island and some shopping,
But like everything it depends on what your wants are and your budget as others have pointed out,

I've pretty much have decided on Dr. Suporn :)
Two of my friends went w/ Suporn. He actually did a superb job. All of them praise the sensation technique he did. Have you also researched Dr. Greechart @ Yanhee hospital? He did my srs 3 months ago. Couldn't beat 14-day hospital stay there.

I think he is a great choice. When will you get it done?
I just got srs with dr suporn on aug 2 (i'm typing from the recovery hotel :)
EXtREMELY satisfied with all aspects of his clinic, staff, hospital, technique. Extremely impressed with the 20+ smiling happy (and wincing and ouchie) faces of the girls who are all at different stages of their recoveries.
Since you specifically addressed the out-of-country element, let me get you back with a few points:
1) I'm a US citizen living in the EU, with enough money that I could have gone to anyone. After a year of research, I chose Suporn.
2) Wiring this much cash to a stranger, then coming sight unseen seems terrifying to me. BUT I was in Thailand in March on holiday, so I popped in here and also to Dr Chettawut (another very very good surgeon in Bangkok). I basically interviewed both of them, checked out their clinics and so forth. While both nice guys, and I think students of the same master, my overall impressions were quite different. At dr chet's clinic, everything seemed very.... dead. As in one (very friendly) receptionist, and that was it as far as I could see. The door was locked until you were buzzed in. Nobody was around. Dr Chet saw me immediately, very friendly and competent sounding. His technique I didn't care for (although he may have recently started doing it like dr suporn; compare on the websites)... Suporn's clinic was the exact opposite. Big, bright, alive, filled and I mean FILLED with about 15 of us girls who had been operated on the past few weeks or days. Laughing, joking, happy, relieved. Four or five staff members, a full time driver to ferry us to and from the hospital, hotel and clinic (although the hotel and clinic are 200 meters apart). Dr Suporn made me wait a good hour, but only because he had just come from surgery and had to attend to a lot of other girls first, so no problem. He said people usually don't pop in like this, but gave me a full rundown, slideshow, etc. My cisfemale partner and I were blown away. Two clits, did you say?? >:-) Eight inches of depth to go with it?? Um, can you please take my deposit now??!!
In short, wire your cash with FULL confidence.
3) His technique is something he invented to make two sensate clitoris organs aswell as quite awesome depth even in bad cases.. think micropenis followed by 6 inches of depth, with a great asthetic, inner and outer labia, etc in one stage. (Not me, I had more to work with, and the results are awesome so far). He's been doing it since 2001 I believe.
4) I was lucky to have traveled here before, and to have my partner with me. But had I not, I would have still been in great hands. They meet you at the airport, take care of absolutely, utterly everything. Sacks of equipment are arranged beside your side of the bed when you get back from the hospital, everything you'll need. Some things cost a little extra (laundry service, internet, bottled water though you get some free daily), but all the "gear" is of course included, in a nice little gift bag. The staff are the kindest, sweetest thai girls you could ever hope to meet, and the doc radiates confidence and professionalism. The recovery period is extreme in my opinion (1 day hotel, 8 days hospital, about 20 more days at hotel). This ensures a very very minimal chance you'll have any complication by the time you fly home. Anything serious will present itself by then, and the rigorous procedures around here minimize complications. The hotel is excellent; we've just been hanging out in the room all day eating room service (western and thai choices), going to the free gym (my partner not me), chatting with other partners or patients or browsing the web.... The neighborhood is as safe as you can get. The staff are on call 24/7... I had a bit of a bladder emergency one night a few days after getting back to the hotel (blood clot stoppered me up good), and the nurses were in my hotel room in 15 minutes flat, one to hold my hand and the other to catheter me for a few more days. Not all clinics around here are like this, as a quick read of these boards will tell you (as I've been doing the past few days!) And their english is excellent.
Either I've got the worst case of stockholm syndrome, or I really mean what I say: the Suporn experience seems like a unique one. Most of his girls will agree with a smile. Either way, I love these people. My god, I really do. :D
Good luck!
Thanks Bella.
No mintra, I haven't even heard of him before.
GendrKweer, wow thanks for sharing. I'm so glad you had such a wonderful experience. I hope to have the same!
swan, I'm really crossing my fingers to have it done by the end of next year. Maybe next summer? I wonder how hot it is during the summer time in Thailand.
I'm glad to hear it! As for the weather, it couldn't be better.... overcast, breezy, 80-89F which is very nice for this area, and air con everywhere. No big rains yet but from experience the monsoon rains around se asia hit in the afternoon for little bit then vanish so don't worry about it too much. We booked a day earlier than they suggested to make sure there was no flight delay on the way in (there wasn't)....

I am Dr CH girl, and I must correct you but Dr Ch does 2- 3 surgeries every day. The reason you didn't wait is because he is very professional and punctual. Compared to Dr Suporn his procedure is painless, the recovery is smooth. Dr Suporn girls get 2- 3 revisions and most of Dr Ch girls none. I didn't have a single complication and all of the girls I met there. At Suporn clinic I spoke to several girls and they all got minor complications requiring subsequent surgeries.
Ha ha, let's not get into a pi$$ing match with a girl with catheter, hey? ;D I was relaying what I observed with total nonbias, and took care to make sure I portrayed DR chet as being also friendly and competent, etc. I just wasn't blown away. And just judging by how quickly he could have done the surgery (as opposed to the six month wait for Suporn) tells me he cannot be as busy. Finally, if he does "2-3" procedures a day, his days must be longer than most of ours: SRS takes 5 hours; with breast aug add 2.5 hours. I don't think I'd like to be the third girl in line on any given day! ;) And when would he have the time to do daily checkups on his patients, take out stitches personally, inspect the healing, decatheterize.... all things dr suporn does personally after his single daily surgery.
Finally, I'd add that Dr suporn may or may not have a slightly higher revision rate. But it is likely because he offers a LIFETIME FREE REVISION WARRANTY on his work.
I never insulted Dr Chet. If I had to go to another bangkok surgeon, he would be it. That's why he was one of the two I interviewed. I just liked Suporn better. That's all.
Blessings!

They're both fine doctors, but they're both overrated. People need to stop worshipping their surgeons.
Why? They give us a new lease on life. They correct what has been broken for decades. They hold our lives in their hands, at least for a bit.
Did you have a poor experience with your own surgeon? I understand that we usually can only go through this srs experience once, ie I can't go now to dr chet, have another go, and then compare. But there are ways to filter information, which is what i tried to do. And when Dr Chet said (as I recall) I would have x inches of depth and one clitoris, and dr suporn guaranteed x + 3 or so inches and two sensate clitoral organs (I'm at a comfortable 7 inches with a 32mm dilator), there was no reason not to deify him. >:-)

For god sake 2 clitoris? Are you dreaming? They both give you 1 clitoris and very sensitive area between the clitoris urethra and the entrance of the vagina. Dr Ch also gives lifetime free corrections if needed, it is just that his reconstructive surgery knowledge is fantastic and there is no need for corrections. Minimum depth he delivers is 6". Also Dr Ch surgery is totally painless, the dilation is "normal" and the entire process is smooth. I don't think that is the case with Dr Suporn.
There's no need to go back and forth on who's the better surgeon. I think it's pretty clear that both are competent surgeons. Just share your own personal experiences. That will be helpful with my research :) By the way swan, I'm going to look into Dr. Chettawut. Thanks.
Hi Jen :)
I just wanted to congratulate you on finding your surgeon. I'm excited for you! I'm sure everything will turn out well and you'll look back and be super happy. I hope things in your corner of the world are making you smile, a lot! Friends, Meghan :)
Well, sorry for the friction, ladies. But in my defense, this surgery has been a dream come true, so if i am a little ebullient, forgive me? Surely all the girls on here felt the same after their surgery, didn't you? (Amazed, thrilled, happy... If you did not, how come?) And for those who might not yet have had their surgery, you can't really hassle me for deifying anyone until you've done it!
Anyway, I am coming up on three weeks post op, and still ecstatic about the cosmetics, depth, sensation, service, postop care... but time will tell.

I'm not gonna make it worse than it is: my Gyno, who works with vaginas of both natal and trans women, was very impressed and did not feel I needed any alterations (although she couldn't fathom what I'd need so much depth for), so I'm pretty confident my vulva is still within normal range, and it is not by any means ugly. She also commented on the very nice "handiwork" on the vaginal canal itself, very impressed by his craftsmanship. What bothers me is what someone on this forum refered to as "The Suporn Gape". He doesn't close the vagina on the bottom because of the need for dynamic dilation, and I am pretty sure I was told that he could create a fourchette after the one year mark, but now someone posted on here that they went back for that and were refused? The people going to him need to know this.
[clipped]
No need for me to break a lance for Dr Suporn... I had my SRS with Dr Sanguan Kunaporn.
Now, here is the deal... the lack of an initially created fourchette has a REASON. The reason is FEAR of lack of proper blood circulation if this part of the op is taken 'too far'. It happens even when taking caution about it. I know one woman that had this very issue when I had my SRS then.
It is MOSTLY for this reason that not ALL that can be done, may be done in one fell swoop.
The 'revision' is actually and mostly about closing up the area about the upper clit area AND bringing down the labia minora quite some further toward the vaginal introitus - this 'closing' that gap that was mentioned.
It is NOT only a Dr Suporn issue, it is an SRS issue - in my experience.
Hum,
Axélle
how were your results with dr. kunaporn ? are you satisfied ? im currently looking for srs surgeons.
I'm satisfied to put it in short. However it is not so simple a question to answer – as we only have one 'item' and no other to compare it with - other than looks of course.
I had labiaplasty just 4 1/2 weeks ago and 10 month post-SRS, so once again there is some swelling that will take time to subside.
The pre-labiaplasty result was good, but as mentioned in my earlier post it ALSO had the same 'issue' with gaping at the introitus.
I think it is actually unavoidable - but not everyone may agree (despite not being surgeons...)...
Depth is once again 4 1/2" plus, also this ever so much depends from WHERE it is measured, from perineum or clit-area (front) which makes about a 1" difference too.
Axélle
does the depth cause you any problems with sexual partners ? did you fly back to Thailand for the revision ? if so, does he do that stuff for free ? how do you feel about the results after the revision ? thank you for answering questions, im really considering going with him or dr. chettawut for surgery.

I have no sexual male partner - I still have a daily dildo/vibrator session. 42mm dia. and 7" long.
I do recall that a 'normal' male length (my own!) was less in width and length.
In fact the full width of one's (male) palm, including thumb, and then 1/2" spare is my situation. Basically I would quite comfortably fit into my new arrangement. If this makes sense?
Note: More depth i.e. going past the peritoneal reflection requires the surgeon to penetrate into the peritoneum, the visceral cavity. Some surgeons offer this e.g. Dr Suporn, Dr Sanguan will not, neither Dr Chettawut. This also due to their own protocols – as I understand.
I had decided to go back to Phuket Interl. Aesthetic Centre (PIAC) for my FFS procedure with Dr Rushapol, and had a free check-up of my 10 month past SRS.
Dr Sanguan suggested a minor labiaplasty/correction. Bringing labia closer to introitus basically. But he also said it was not a necessity i.e. it was up to me. It cost US$1.5k and was done during my FFS and BA procedure.
I'm still somewhat puffy after revision, and I'm told to wait one month and then revisit my results if OK, or if I would want a further revision...
