Which Evil Dead? The original or Remake? I like Evil Dead 2 the most.
Original, and 2. ;D
I was surprised they avoided the campy route with the remake.
All of these are favorites because they influenced my childhood in some way...
The Last Unicorn
Labyrinth
The Dark Crystal
Everything is Illuminated
Whatever Happened to Harold Smith?
Dream with the Fishes
Little Nicky
Dogma
Garden State
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (and the Bogus Journey too)
I also love The Crow, but it's not going on the top 10 above any of those. Donnie Darko and Eternal Sunshine would probably be in my top 50 but not top 10.
...so I guess I fit in decently well with the people who like depressing movies. ;D (Hey at least I didn't put Grave of the Fireflies on my list... but probably only because I still haven't seen it yet)
Do I have to pick 10? :P
Amelié
Alien
Western Rhapsody
The Place Promised in our Early Days
Stargate
Men In Black
Stagecoach
Gatchaman

Citizen Kane
Let The Right One In (not to be confused with the American remake that can't hold a candle to it)
Only Lovers Left Alive
Reservoir Dogs
Ginger Snaps
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Gangs of New York
Sucker Punch (the version that wasn't messed with)
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
The Dark Knight
Pirates of the Caribbean
...The Crow, The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, Donnie Darko, Thale... Ok, so I can't limit the list to just ten.
I watch WAY too many movies, so its hard to narrow the list
- The Matrix
- Serenity
- Searching for Bobby Fischer
- Dead Poets Society
- Good Will Hunting
- Titanic (yes I'm a sap!)
- American History X
- Army of Darkness
- Shaun of the dead

Let The Right One In (not to be confused with the American remake that can't hold a candle to it)
Only Lovers Left Alive
Reservoir Dogs
Ginger Snaps
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Gangs of New York
Sucker Punch (the version that wasn't messed with)
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
The Dark Knight
Pirates of the Caribbean
...The Crow, The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, Donnie Darko, Thale... Ok, so I can't limit the list to just ten.
Ah... Ginger Snaps!! I think that's on my B list. Love that movie. Saw Jennifer's Body first and then afterwards realized how similar they were. I have a friend whose favorite movie of all time is Only Lovers Left Alive. I have to admit, it didn't quite get me there but I love the scene when they're in Detroit at the old run down theater.
• Sailor Moon R
• South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
• Persepolis
• Who Framed Roger Rabbit
• The Little Mermaid
• The Lion King
• Spaceballs
• Life of Brian
• WALL-E
• Frozen
Eh... I'd say Sailor Moon R is my #1, but all the others are in no particular order.
In no particular order, here are 10 of my favorites
Avatar
Spirited away
Grave of the fireflies
North by northwest
The shawshank redemption

3. Fight Club
4. Corpse Bride
5. Pulp Fiction
6. Bed knobs and Broomsticks
7. Wall-E
8. Anchorman
9. Sun Valley Serenade
10. Edward Scissor Hands
I love so many movies, it is so hard to pick just ten. :)
Hmm it's always tough for me making lists like this! I'm a big movie buff and I watch all types of movies (though I mostly love b-movies). Sometimes I'll watch movies that I'm blown away by that I love, but I only see them once. So I'll just do a list of movies I watch a lot.
Night of the Living Dead
The Road Warrior
Oldboy
Bride of Frankenstein
Big
Jaws
The Elephant Man
City of God
Blazing Saddles
Chinatown
Organized by length of title
Any Wes Anderson Film <3
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Blue is the Warmest Color
Being John Malkovich
Let the Right One In
The Virgin Suicides
Laurence Anyways
American Beauty
Donnie Darko
Slacker
Aw that's like the hardest question ever! I'd need a top 10 just for each genre to be happy with my list! lol!
I guess if I'd have to choose, a list in no particular order
1 - Jurassic Park
2 - Away We Go
3 - The Haunted Mansion
4 - The Little Mermaid
5 - Lilo & Stitch
6 - Treasure Planet
7 - My Little Pony : Equestria Girls
8 - The Avengers
9 - Skyfall
10 - Aladdin
Darn that was hard, haha
There are so many movies I'd love to include, and probably a few I forgot about (like Who Framed Roger Rabbit which I just remembered about) but I'll try not to dwell on it too much lol!

I like the whole "overstylized music video" vibe of the whole thing. As well as Harold Perrineau's take on Merecutio.
Although, in hindsight, I could have swapped that out with Joss Whedon's remake of "Much Ado About Nothing" and gotten a little more street cred, I guess. Love it almost as much.

This was not easy, to pick 10. There are just too many I had to pick thru. So you're getting a double list. You're mean making me pick only 10! ;D
I had to leave so many options off the list it was depressing. I put descriptions on some of them for fun.
The Blair Witch project:
was a game changer for the found-footage genre. How could I not put it on this list?
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Splinter:
Only movie with body horror that I can tolerate.
300
House of Wax:
Ridiculous story and with liberal cringe-pain horror. I've watched it many times, always makes me laugh.
Megamind
Woman in Black
Pitch Black:
Whenever I don't know what kind of movie to watch with someone, this is
Don't Breathe
A Serbian Film:
Absolute horror and tragedy. Somehow comedic in its total misery; Every time you think it can't get worse, it gets worse. You need a strong stomach to watch it. I've only watched it a couple times but it impacted my life in such a positive way I couldn't leave it off the list.
In no particular order:-
Ex Machina
Inception
Rust And Bone
Melancholia
Lord Of The Rings - Trilogy (Cop out, yeah yeah, sorry)

Imagine Me And You
I Can't Think Straight
Ma Vie En Rose
Lost And Delirious
The Matrix
Rent
Love Jones
Grease
Casablanca
Pride and Prejudice (1995 Mini Series)
Not necessarily in order:
Black Narcissus
Gone to Earth
Out of Africa
Chinatown
The 3 Musketeers/The 4 Musketeers (Alexander Salkind versions)
Lawrence of Arabia
Cabaret
Angel Heart
Sammy Going South
Company of Wolves
I like movies that take advantage of the Big Screen.
It was difficult for me to narrow my list down to ten as the scope of film genres that I enjoy is pretty wide. Right off of the top pf my head here goes:
Good Fellas
Pulp Fiction
The Great Escape
The Dirty Dozen
To Kill A Mockingbird
Fried Green Tomatoes
Time Machine
Casablanca
White Heat
Mr. Roberts
Not in order...
1. Die Hard (Best Christmas movie ever)
2. Silence of the Lambs (The escape scene... gives me chills every time)
3. Seven (Kevin Spacey delivered a tour de force performance that turned out didn't involve all that much acting to be so creepy)
4. The Usual Suspects (Oh hey look, it's Kevin Spacey playing himself again)
5. Event Horizon (Even if Paul WS Andersion is a hack who ruined Resident Evil)
6. There's Something About Mary (Greatest "modern" style comedy)
7. Evil Dead 2 (Bruce Campbell is the greatest man to ever live, and I will hear no dissent on this topic)
8. Captain America Winter Soldier (Greatly enjoy all the Marvel movies, but this is just an all around damn good movie)
9. Tommy Boy (I loved Chris Farley so much)
10. Jurassic Park (I still get a warm fuzzy feeling hearing the theme song)
Honorable mention for "best made" movie of all time even if not one I can watch repeatedly because it's so very, very, very long: Seven Samurai. Final battle in the rain in that movie... Jesus, Kurosawa was amazing.
Regarding Event Horizon, while it has developed a bit of a cult following, it doesn't often make top 10 lists. However, I saw it in a really, really good theater with the sound system blasting. It was amazing and one of the only horror movies ever to make me actually jump. I saw it again in a lesser theater, and the effect was paltry in comparison, but I'll never forget that first experience.
1. Starship Troopers
2. Aliens
3. The Mist
4. The Cabin in the Woods
5. The Thing
6. The Descent
7. Cloverfield
8. Irobot
9. Underworld movies
10. I am legend
I mostly like science fiction and science fiction horror movies, although I like horror as well. This list is not in any real order though to be honest, and I am sure there are movies I forgot about that would have been on this list.
I might have forgotten about something but it's pretty acurate I think.
1. Stoker
2. Mommy
3. Youth
4. Son of Saul
5. The Passion of Joan of Arc
6. Requiem for a Dream
7. Fight Club
8. I Am Legend
9. Train to Busan
10. I Killed My Mother
Really depends on my mood, but I'll try:
Blade Runner
Ghost World
American Beauty
Inland Empire
Airplane!
The Shining
Lost in Translation
Punch Drunk Love
Breaking the Waves
The Holy Mountain
Choosing a definitive top 10 is way too hard, but here are 10 movies i love
Die Hard

O Brother where art thou . . .
some I just picked from previous posts :D
My top three have been the exact same list since I was about 15:
Halloween (1978), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), and The Thing (1982).
So I'm obviously a horror nerd. However, I also spent a good number of years in film school, so there's artsy stuff like Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) and Eraserhead (1977).
Rounding out the top 10:
Taxi Driver (1976), Halloween III (1982), C.H.U.D. (1984), Psycho (1960), and Alien (1979).
