I have been at a certain dosage bi weekly for 10 weeks. My doctor did a blood test to check my levels, but the nurse called and only said that they were "normal", considering that I have been on a very low dose for a shot amount of time, I doubt they fall into the normal male range, so I am really confused about that. He didn't say anything about increasing it.
Monday I went in for my 5th shot, and afterwards, the nurse kept the vial when there should of been another dose left; she actually gave me a full (double) dose.
Their nurses and staff are extremely uncoordinated, the nurse who does my shots has no clue about anything; she also instructed me to through the syringes into the trash :/
Starting the next shot I will be doing it myself, so I won't have to deal with her anymore.
I have no clue if she wasn't paying attention and completely gave me the wrong dose, or if my Dr. increased it and no one bothered to tell me. After I told her that I am supposed to only have 1/2, her response was "whoops. just wait an extra week or so till you do you next one".
Has anyone else run into anything like this? I don't trust her, so I'm going to call my Dr. next week and see what he says.
I also noticed that I get muscle spasms in my leg the day after I get my shot, and with the larger dose, it has been more pronounced. Is this normal?
eh, maybe. i never had spasm on a full/regular does. maybe she just gave you a crappy injection? but yea, do them yourself, mucho better. or do subcutaneous if you have issues giving yourself intramuscular shots. much less scarey.
Take it from someone whose body produced too much T. Yes, I had the leg spasms and cramps at night when the T is at the highest now that you mentioned that. I thought it was mainly from stress. A little more occurances about 2 hours after mastrubating. After ejaculation the prostate emits a pseudo hormone prostaglandin that tells the testes to produce more sperm and thus more testosterone to tell the prostate to produce more seminal fluid. That cramping disappeared shortly after I started taking the HRT.
This cramping may disappear for in a few days knowing the hormones do have a short life in the body.

That nurse is really unprofessional. :-\ A lot of patients could be hurt by such negligence.
I hope everything gets sorted out. Good luck with the T!
