Anyone else see the teaser trailer for Cloud Atlas (The new film co-directed by The Wachowskis)? There's also an introduction by the directors, including Lana (formerly Larry) Wachowski- She looked very happy and relaxed... pretty cute too! I loved her bright reddish-pink hair. I'm really happy for her, and I think it's great that she's back in the public eye...
As for what I think of their films? Loved Bound and The Matrix, thought the Matrix sequels were interesting but deeply flawed, and thought Speed Racer was a blast. I'm very hopeful about Cloud Atlas...
Haven't seen cloud Atlas yet but I did catch a speech by Lana the other night regarding her new (ish) transgender status. Was quite moving imo. Lana Wachowski receives the HRC Visibility Award (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crHHycz7T_c#)

Saw it twice already, and waitlisted for a BluRay copy when that happens (March, I'm guessing?)
Wonderful movie, which got overcritiqued. You'll love it or hate it, most likely. Doesn't seem to be a middle ground.
One point, which is touched on in the HRC award speech that hazel posted... it's inaccurate to say she's back in the public eye, given that the promotion for Cloud Atlas is the first time the Wachowski's have really given up their anonymity and catered to the demand for publicity appearances as part of film promotion. Their contracts in the past explicitly warned the studios that they would not do the usual rounds of promotion.
They've taken care to point out that this was not grounded in Lana's transition (which has been ongoing for many years) but had more to do with wanting to remain relatively anonymous and do their creative work outside the publicity fishbowl.
Lana rocks...anyone who made The Matrix rocks...I dont care. lol
I really enjoyed Cloud Atlas (full disclosure: I liked Bound, LOVED The Matrix, found the Matrix sequels to be interesting failures, and had fun with Speed Racer). I think it'll find an audience on home video.
I find this movie is not very good!
