Title: Underworks 988
Post by: Edge on July 30, 2012, 06:59:23 PM
Hey. I was thinking of getting a new binder and was wondering if Underwork's 988 was any good. What do you guys think?

I've only tried the 997. When I was first figuring out sizes, I had problems getting the 997 over my shoulders and shoulder blades since they're decently broad. The description for the 988 says that the compression panels are over the chest and upper back, so I could see the complications for someone who is built more like me.

If you do decide to order one, please post what you think. It's hard to know what you're getting with buying a new type of binder until you've bought it and tried it on in my experience.

I LOVE the 988! I wear it more than my 983 tri-top. It looks the most like normal tank fabric and my sides don't itch as much as with the 997. The problem for me is that it's a little too pear shaped. I need to get it tailored because I have to tuck it into my underwear (I'm obnoxiously tall, though, so this isn't usually a problem for most guys). But it's crazy comfortable and it gets me the flattest. Enjoy!

Any double front compression shirt is probably ok as long as youre smaller chested.

Hrm. That would be a bad idea for me then because I'm large chested and I'm frustrated by not being able to bind it completely flat.
