I was wondering the same thing.  I see androgenous women and FTM but don't see a lot about cross dressing women.  Is it because it is acceptable for women to wear men's clothes?

Hey all,
I was just wondering if there were many women here who crossed dressed in men's clothing and liked to pass as men (but Identify as women).

There seems no such a thing for all I can tell.

The last high profile female 'cross dresser' I recall was Marlene Dietrich - but never (I guess) would have wished to PASS as male, i.e. would have identified female. She was BI at best and I think a lesbian actually - at least acted as such in her later years. She was very 'high femme' at the same time, low voice et all.

It seems females can get this cross-dressing thing a hell of a lot easier done?

And so much for labels, eh?   :D

I think it goes a bit deeper than simply being a matter of social taboos. The genetic female brain is wired a fair bit differently than that of genetic male. G-males tend to be more driven by passions, while females tend to be driven a bit more by fears, for instance.

Still, there certainly are female crossdressers. I've run across a couple online. In past centuries there have been many stories of women disguising themselves as men in order to join armies during wars-- as well as doing other things limited to males.

By and large, though, this a great rarity these days while male to female crossdressing is pretty widespread.
