FARGO - Riah Roe is used to funny looks and the occasional raised eyebrow. Some people whisper about her. Others simply stare.

The Concordia College senior just rolls with it.

As a transitioning male-to-female transgendered individual, the spotlight is on Roe most of the time, whether she wants it or not.

If you come out as gay, people really don't have to cope with a different appearance.  We are in their faces all the time.  My attitude is that unless we are going to have a sexual relationship it really doesn't matter.  I am coping with it, they can too.
