I've had a few conversations with my dad concerning my taking T. The first one consisted of the beginning therapies, the effects T would have on my body, and his main concern: Would I be able to have a real relationship with a woman after beginning T?
We have had long debates on relationships. The main fact is that I date women who understand my gender confusion/ conundrum on any scale. To me, his main fear is a moot point.
Today however, we began a religious debate on homosexuality/ acceptance/ what Jesus truly said in the bible vs. what Paul declared in the Old Testament. Despite all of this, he stated his main fact: "When someone has opposing chromosomes or hormones, I think God will take all of that in to effect and judge accordingly."
After all of this, I immediately replied, "I expect you to teach me how to shave." That comment developed into a topic of shaving/ trimming body hair on men...
My main concept beyond this post is that I hope you guys are as lucky as I am. I have a set of parents who love me unconditionally, in the true meaning of the word. And I hope that this gives you hope in talking to your parents about coming out or being a different gender.
I thought it may be a good story to share for a change.
Thanks for sharing. It's nice to hear a good story.
