I don't really identify with labels because of the music I listen to, but the feel of that song made me want to listen to this band (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFa0GK_joOU#) for some reason.

Yeah, I suppose I am a goth. I don't really dress the part, though, but I love the music. Bauhaus is my favourite band, this Skeletal Family was really good as well, thanks for the link!

Joy Division - These Days (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69LWYGDeMFQ#)
This is Joy Division so not really goth, but the bassline in it is amazing.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Halloween - Live 1981 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRZ2l9941CM#)
Some Siouxsie, fitting for the season.

That would probably count as me too. I dont really dress the part all that much, although I do still wear mostly black. I still go to shows all the time.

I like the goth scene, even if I don't dress that way or listen to the music as much these days.

I'm very much into goth music. I never really dressed the part aside from wearing black a lot and honestly I really don't like wearing dark colors or single colored clothing anymore. I do find goth people very attractive though. I don't go to clubs anymore, but I used to have all the goth nights at surrounding clubs down to a science, so I had one for every day of the week.

Goth, for me, is all about the Bauhaus, The Cure, Fields of the Nephilim, and The Sisters of Mercy. Joy Division and Type O Negative get honourable mentions.  ;D

I was more of a hardcore goth before. But nowadays I am like a mix of metal, goth, industrial and aggrotech.

I love darkness and everything associated with goth, why I dont know.

Sometimes I wonder whats wrong with me because I feel best when its raining/snowing and when its stormy weather. The sun makes me depressed for some reason.  Everyone else seems to love the sun and feel good when its showing up.

One curious question (whether you dress goth or listen to 'strange music'), have you ever received negative treatment from "the community" because of your appearance, or musical interest?

Which community do you speak of? I can tell one one personal experience but it was more within the punk/hardcore scene. I was at a club, wearing makeup and a skirt and some skinheads who used to be friends of mine before they decided to be skinheads saw me. They ended up jumping me and sending me to the hospital. Right now I'm about 50% deaf in one ear from that attack about 20 years ago.

Same here, except for Type-O, I never really got into them. I think because I had a roommate who was really into them and I hated him with a passion, he kinda ruined them for me.

Seventeen Seconds is a masterpiece of an album. Unfortunately, I've never been able to take Joy Division seriously, because the first time I ever heard them, I was on acid, and they just made me giggle uncontrollably for half an hour.

And I confess to the heresy of loving Nouvelle Vague too ;D.

I love Seventeen Seconds, but I think my favorite by them is Pornography.

Yes, Pornography is wonderful and their best album in my opinion. I also like their song Burn, but maybe that's because I really like The Crow as well. It gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it.
