My name is Chrissy and I'm a 32 year old MtF. I'm currently transitioning at my own pace. I havn't seen this forum before so I thought I'd pop in and see what goes on here and maybe make some friends.
I have just a quick question too. How do I put my own avatar piccy on here? I didn't see a space in the profile editor to put a link to a url for an avatar.

Welcome, I dont know if putting your own photo up is one of those things that can only be done after so many posts. Be patient and you will be able to do it in no time at all.

Thanks for all your welcomes :) . I'm sorry I didn't post much of an introduction as I found myself quite busy after starting to write my post. So here is a little more:
I'm about to transition at work quite soon which will then make me full-time. I havn't got too far with the NHS at the moment, I saw a psychiatrist in march and got bombarded with questions for 2 hours and at the end she said that she was going to refer me to Claybrook but then in a letter afterwards she said that she wanted me to see another psych and my appointment with him has been delayed until July :( . I've been having councelling and I'm now trying to do all I can with my transition myself.
I work long hours but in my spare time I enjoy chatting a lot and trying to help and support people like myself. I have a FtM boyfriend called Skyler who lives in Canada and I'm currently saving to go and see him. I enjoy films and I have been learning spanish although I'm quite rusty at the moment after I had to leave the A-level course I was doing in January. Um.... what else can I say, hmmmm I don't know. Feel free to ask me anything. I hope I can spend some time on this forum but I do find spare time hard to come by at the moment.

Welcome Purple Princess. This is a good board for exchanging ideas and experience, get good information and proper support... and warnings too, especially around self-medication. The Standarts of Care are there for good reasons, so even if you are impatient listen to others who can understand how you feel but are further down the road on their journey. All the best.

I guess these rules are in place because perhaps you have had newbies bother people a lot.
