Title: Do you resemble now one of your parents or other family members?
Post by: Apples Mk.II on August 24, 2012, 02:01:17 PM
I had not noticed until now, but without surgery I think I'm going to look a lot like my mother (she does not look very femenine, same square jaw, chin and brow bone, although my face is longer and my nose gigantic). Just the thought is enough to chill my bones and scare me away. I'm getting as much FFS as I can.

As for the rest of you... Do you now look like another familiar, or did you end looking completely different?

Seriously, i think I'm going to order a few VFFS pictures just to be on the safe side.

I look a lot like my younger sis. Actually we could almost be twins. I'm guessing that she will probably take that as an insult or something hehe... But it's true we look very much alike always have really. I never have had a very masculine face or body for that matter. Our body types are becoming very similar since being on hormones. My mom said that I looked just as she would have imagined me to look after seeing me for the first time since starting my transition. Just like my younger sister.

Not sure if a guy's opinion helps, but I have always looked like my dad, even without the aid of T. Strong chin, square jaw and I somehow managed to get Alan Rickman's nose. Now that the T is starting to change my face, I am starting to look a little less like my dad.

I've always looked like my dad before HRT, after HRT and laser even less so.

although I do get a lot of features from my mom ... so with HRT/laser I would look like a mix of both.

As I have gotten older, I look more and more like my Mom.  And the funny thing is I was adopted.  (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-9.gif&hash=42bd2ee88d4ddc91007b3b25799f543e9ee358f1)

In the past I have been told that I looked like my dad.  After FFS my father told me that no one would ever tell me I looked like my father ever again.

Then this lady who lives close by who knew my father was coming to see me said, "OMG, I can't wait to see your father!"  When my father was there she went on (endlessly) about how, "OMG I can't believe how much you look like your father O_O!  She wouldn't stop and became very tiresome quickly.  I figure she heard a rumor and was communicating something to me.  It made me despise and distrust her.

You mean it was her subtle way of telling you that she "knows"? I hate her already. What is wrong with people! You should live in London. I barely know the names of my neighbours. Been here 9 years. It would probably take 50 years for a rumour here to travel from one end of the road to the other.

I looked like my father as a teenager when he was a teenager. A few things happened. He killed his looks with smoking, alcohol and sun. I started HRT and had rhinoplasty to get rid of his nose. I haven't finished yet, I suspect...

Yes, that was the only conclusion that made any sense to me.

Would you like a roomate?  Know anyone who can help me get a work visa?

My face has always taken after my mom's side, even though my complexion and hair are more like my dad's.

After cutting my hair short, I've been told I really look like my mom now.

The further along I get, the more I look like my half-sister.  :)

(Although I'm happy about it, sometimes I wonder what she thinks of it...)

When I'm grumpy, I look like my mum (severe) - but when I'm happy I don't look like anyone in my family, because they didn't do happy :).

My partner says I look like my sister (but better), I agree with her but not sure about the better part!

I used to look a bit like my mother but after ffs I actually look more like my stepsister. It's kind of cool actually as we always refer to each other as sisters anyway.

When I first started this journey and weighed 250lbs. I looked like my sister, similar makeup styles and same color hair/wig, now I look like me :)

I look a lot like my dad sadly in some ways. In other ways I don't resemble any of my family

I look exactly like my mother when she was at my age. It is actually uncanny to look at old pictures of her and compare them to myself now.

But I think she kind of enjoys it, so it's always fun to mention.
