Title: Eyebrows
Post by: Emmy on August 25, 2012, 11:49:55 AM
I've watched plenty of videos, but still don't really know how to shape and trim my eyebrows.

Any advice? What all do I need to get it done?

Well, I personally got a pair of tweezers and one of those little shaving pencil guys with the guard (they have them at every drug store) and started really slow.  First, I plucked strays.  Then, I trimmed them with the longer guide on the shaving pencil thing.  Then, over time, I'd maintain what I'd plucked as I brought them in (and occasionally trimming).  Some girls say to never pluck from the top, but I had spots on the top that looked much better when I plucked them.  I went with the generic "draw a line from the edge of your nose to the edge of your eye to your eyebrow" to determine where to end them and when working on the bottom portion, I'd decide to thin an area and once I plucked one hair from that region, I'd kind of have a guide for others that are lined up with it.  The main thing was taking it slow and making sure they stayed even.

I had mine done professionally and then just have to maintain them.

Tweezers + YouTube.  Search some of the how to videos there. Good luck. :).

I'd highly recommend getting them professionally waxed, then after you'd just have to maintain them. After multiple waxing my hairs have either stopped growing or grow back very thin/light. I also use a really small, thin comb & teeny scissors to trim the brows to a very short length which makes them look thinner & not so bushy.

Eyebrow razor also works well.

Is it safe to talk about eyebrows now?
