However, should one decide to rearrange their anatomy or attempt to present themselves as the other gender, they have no right to expect the rest of us to accept them as anything but what God made them in the first place.
I appreciate the person in Monday's Chico E-R who is transgender and wants to play on a coed team as I too enjoy playing sports. However, this individual is a man, and again, no matter how you slice it, men are generally stronger and more athletically adept than women.

So WBW are naturally softer and not equipped to face off against men in any type of arena. ::) Where do they find these dinosaurs at?
LIT, who had to ask one of the "weaker sex" to open her cola the other day because she couldn't, even though she had been a bodybuilder in the past. Nope, no effect on strength from the hormones.... ::)

If you are a man or woman and you have/take T, eat right and exercise you will build muscle.
Woman and men can be equally coordinated. As an example:
College women basketball players as a whole have a higher percentage of making their free throws when compared to college men basketball players as a whole.

Where do they find these dinosaurs at?
I am thinking of an ancient cartoon from the 1970s. A cromagnon woman and a neanderthol man are sitting by a fire in a cave. The man is looking dejected, and the woman is say, "But I
can't marry you because I have evolved and you have not."
Can you imagine if this woman has daughters? It would be a scene right out of the old show Titus, except with a few changes.
INT. FAMILY HOME. DAY
Little Becky comes in the door and walks up to her mother, who is sitting in the chair.
LITTLE BECKY
Mommy, mommy! The teacher in school said that we could be whatever we wanted.
I want to be an astronaut!
MOM
She wasn't talking to you dear, go in the kitchen and learn how to clean the dishes so
that you can get a man, settle down, and be a birthing machine.
LIT,
Just to defend Titus...
It has been misunderstood and misused by many. It does not say that women cannot become doctors, politicians, lawyers, even presidents...
It does say that, in the home, women are to have things in order, and that the older women are to be sober minded and teach the younger how to love their husbands. Which, since in youth we tend to be much more self centered and lacking in self control, isn't a bad idea to have someone come along side who's been there before... ie, how do you let your spouse know he's being a jerk with out throwing something, like a cast iron frying pan, directly at his head? :icon_bat:
Just one evangelical's point of view.... LGF
:)
I loved the show Titus but then I have been a big fan of Stacy Keach since his Mike Hammer days. :)
Oh and a well thrown brick usually does the trick.

LIT,
Have you ever seen the damage that the male skull will cause to a brick? What have you got against bricks?
:) :D ;D ;)

Too bad this person did not look at the IOC findings on MTF Transsexuals that if a person had been on HRT for two years and post-operative another 2 years, that they would have lost sufficient muscle mass to compete as a woman.
We will not be able to change Victoria's mind -- she has 'rights' to her certainty that
Quote from: Victoriathere have been more studies than I can count that have substantiated the inherent differences. No matter how some in our society would try, girls are girls and boys are boys.
there are many people such as Victoria. She's probably never met a trans person in person, and the 'more studies than I can count' was something she heard from a like minded person, probably at church. I doubt she has read any studies and, if I'm wrong about that, has read them in the way FundeVangelists read the Bible for ammunition to defend a position.
But, pretty much all of us here know that already.
What about those in society who are more open and moderate? Or those who are already supportive yet don't have the latest studies at their fingertips? They'll support and defend us, yet they lack the 'ammo', the knowledge to detect and refute the vacuous arguments of the strict-father-conservative right.
Were that to happen, then Victoria could exercise her rights to her certainty of belief -- and a lot fewer people would listen.
Education needs to happen. In other words, correct knowledge about what trans is and what it isn't needs to be 'shoved down their throats' (to use their words.) Even when they protest. Especially against their 'push-back'. This issue is a part of a larger
culture war in America. People such as Victoria will try to infect the moderates with their version of 'truth' -- and if the moderate and liberal portions of society are not inoculated against it it will take hold and delay our gaining equal rights, if not reverse any progress made thus far.
