Title: Depot-Lupron (GRNH inhibitor)?
Post by: Erik on April 23, 2007, 06:19:26 PM
I went to see endocrinologist today for the first time.  He prescribed Depot-Lupron to reduce estrogen levels for six months, wanted to know the effects it had before prescribing Testosterone (precursor therapy by the sounds of it).  I have been researching the drug though, been seeing a good number of stories about very strong side effects. Have any of you been given this drug before?

Not me, I went straight to testosterone, albeit at a low dose that the endo gradually increased.

I've never heard of anyone using estrogen inhibitors before starting T. Did you have any previous hormonal problems or health issues?

I also heard of this and isn't this a puberty blocker? By the way, can you take it if you are past puberty? Or are there anything else to block estrogen?
