Hey yall. I just found this on the scottishtrans.org
http://www.scottishtrans.org/Uploads/Resources/trans_mh_study.pdf (http://www.scottishtrans.org/Uploads/Resources/trans_mh_study.pdf)
Its a very very long and detailed study taken on transgendered people. Its very interesting, and definitely worth the read, i would say. At least to get into the minds of other trans people, and to know what to expect for transitioning
One thing that did really really scare me was the part about gender clinics. It was pretty much universal that everyone had a bad time at the gender clinic. From disrespect, to having to lie to the therapists to get access the hormone treatments.
Are there any Scottish trans people who have had experience with this? I cant see a future for me where i continue to be in this body. I would be absolutely destroyed if i get refused. See i identify as female, but i still have a large side to me that is male, that im unwilling to give up. I just want to be me, and comfortable in my body. What business do these therapists have dictating the path i want to choose in life?
