MANHATTAN — Cops are on the hunt for a knife-wielding suspect who allegedly slashed a 22-year-old transgender patron after hurling an anti-gay slur at her for trying to use the women's bathroom at the West 3rd Street McDonald's, police and sources said.
The problems began shortly after 7 p.m. when two transgender women at the crime-plagued West Village eatery were accosted at the entrance to the women's bathroom by a male patron who allegedly hurled anti-gay slurs at them.
"You're going to the wrong bathroom," the suspect said, according to sources. The man then threatened to "f--- them up"

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly attacked a 22-year-old man inside a fast food eatery in Manhattan that has been the scene of several violent incidents in the past.
Jamar McLeod got into a verbal argument with the suspect after [the suspect] made anti-gay remarks about the eventual victim's transgender girlfriend, Jalisa Griffin, police said.
"He's like, 'Hey mister, you don't belong in there,'" McLeod told CBS 2′s Jessica Schneider on Friday night.
"When I decided to go to the bathroom he said, 'Sir, the men's bathroom is over here,'" Griffin told CBS 2′s Amy Dardashtian earlier in the day.

Griffin said she ignored the slur but the taunting continued.
"He was like do you want to fight? He wanted to fight me and my boyfriend said 'I'm not going to let that happen, you come through me' and he was like 'I'm coming,'" Griffin said.
The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation during which the suspect took out a razor blade and slashed McLeod on the elbow, face, back and neck, police said.
Griffin told CBS 2′s Dardashtian the senseless hatred nearly killed her boyfriend, adding she wishes it would stop.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police made an arrest late Monday in a hate-crime slashing the took place inside a Manhattan McDonald's and was caught on surveillance video.
The incident took place around 7 p.m. September 19 at the restaurant on West 3rd Street in Greenwich Village.
The victim, 24-year-old Jamar McLeod, was attacked by a man who reportedly made anti-gay slurs about his transgendered girlfriend, Jaslisa Griffin. A verbal argument ensued following the comments, and that's when police say 44-year-old Keith Patron pulled out a razor blade and slashed McLeod on the elbow, face, back and neck.
