Title: Went to MCC Church in San Francisco, not sure what to think
Post by: Shawn Sunshine on September 24, 2012, 02:00:52 PM
well i met a few good people at the mcc church in san francisco, I was invited by a ftm transman who was refered to me by a pastor, they seemed nice enough.

Everything in the service seemed just like any other church except for the fact of who was attending, until we got to the communion, thats when a lesbian gal stood up and said as part of the breaking of the bread she said "this is my sexuality"
as if to say Jesus was saying the breaking of his body had something to do with sexuality, she was not refering to herself, at least not the way it was worded. Thats the only part of the service that bothered me. Everything else was copesetic.

i have only seen an online stream of the service from the closest MCC.

The MCC is a lot hipper, cooler, more trendy and down right fashionable - if not fabulous - then most Christian churches.  My problem with it is that it's still a Christian church, with all that entails.
