Thinking about changing out my 70's "I'm a rock star" aviator style glasses.

I want something a little more feminine but not with little jewels, butterfly's ect and I hate those thick black frame "birth control glasses". 8)
Thinking of simple rounds w/ wire frames but on the large side.
I went through an eyeglasses change phase about a month ago. I ended up buying something that is functional rather than stylistic.
They look something like these: http://www.besportier.com/archives/tag-heur-zenith-sunglasses.html (http://www.besportier.com/archives/tag-heur-zenith-sunglasses.html)
I liked how they covered the eyes straight from one side to the other.
I agree some of the sunglasses available have a lot of decoration on them.
Happy Shopping.
I don't think I have ever heard of a pair of spex/glasses being called eyeglasses before. It seems an extraordinarily quaint term.
I'm afraid I have no opinion about sunglasses, due to the fact I hardly ever see the sun.

I remember sending my Dad a windscreen shield to protect the car from heating up in the sun. Pretty well essential in Australia, he thought it was most useless thing he had seen in the UK
Those were the old photogrey lenses popular in the 70s.
I need regular everyday glasses.
Eyeglasses old fashioned ? How about spectacles.. cheaters...
seems they really do call them eyeglasses, but i like spectacles better
why don't you try some rimless ones, since you don't seem to like thick black frames?

I wear rimless, they don't make such an (I'm wearing glasses) statement and I don't have rims blocking out peripheral vision.
