2009 vw rabbit, 5 spd manual. 120 000 KMS, not one problem! 5 cylinder, 2.5litres of displacement, 170hp 177 torque stock. Ive since added a cold air intake, cat back exhaust system, and chipped it. Thing rips now! If I had a GTI though :p
As soon as I get some more money, im going to get rims and suspension. Just to give you guys an idea of what I want my car to look like :

Its gone be DOPE!
PS! Heres what my car sounds like... its not my car but its the company that manufactured my exhaust... and its exactly what it sounds like on my car. Those 5 cylinders just sound too sick!!!

Of all the cars I've had over the years, my '77 tbird was my favorite, just a huge monster with two doors and hood that went forever. Unfortunately it had been immersed in salt water during a storm surge in '03(Isabel) and after a couple years, it took its toll on the body. Still ran good though.

Nay, I'm selling the big one (I originally got it to convert it into a camper, but realised it'd be horribly expensive to drive) - and the little one is just because it's got great headroom (I'm 6'3") and does 60mpg if I treat it nice :).
I've got a stealth car. A 1.8l turbo charged car of nondescription.
Seat Leon Cupra
With the petrol prices rocketing, my next car needs to be a hybrid or something with a super efficient engine. However, I still need to have blackouts when accelerating.
Haven't had one for over a decade now, but the bike forces me to stay in shape, and in exchange for no car I get an extra four weeks vacation every year. At this point in my life I'll take the time on the slopes over the metal in the driveway.
So many cool cars here! This has been a fun "car show" :)
Those little vans are to much! Would love to have one to deliver bike parts in :)
Awesome cars everyone!! (: Keep the pictures coming!

I would enjoy this thread imensly if not for the fact that like kept trying to turn my car into a crumpled up beer can. So I'm kind of bitter about that. here was what I had planned for my little Civic:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2169856/2005-honda-civic (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2169856/2005-honda-civic)
And then there was my beloved 1990 CRX-Si I had to sell to keep a roof over my head. She had Sparco racing seats and 5 point harnasses, Skunk2 racing short shifter and exaust, Tanabe struts, full coilovers, Momo steering wheel... I called her the Little Red Dragon because she roared. For some reason I think if I were to name it, it would be Jessica. But it has dual A/C, 2 radios, power everything and it's a pretty 2-tone, teal and silver. I put in a new HD stereo head that plays just about everything. While I do miss my other cars and continue to dream of having a Civic again or maybe a truck, my Minivan will do just nicely. I would love to put pink wheels on it and some big pink Hawaiian flower graphics along the side and maybe even add a sunroof to it.

He got it repainted before he passed. It drove so smooth. Pop on detroit rock city and my dad was never prouder ( he was a huge kiss fan :3 ) I almost forgot I had it. I blanked out a lot from the years around that time. Still :3

That car looks perfect, and it must have killed you to sell it.
Gave my son a '67 mustang notch-back for christmas when he was a senior in highschool. When he messed up the engine he found a rebuilt 351 windsor to drop in it. It looked, ran, and sounded beautiful. When we sold it five years ago the buyer sent it to Germany. But my son loved getting the money for it.

My mom got to drive it when it was on her last legs... it was then replaced by a Pontiac Parisienne... what you Americans call the Pontiac Bonneville. The last RWD B body.
We Americans had the Parisienne... it just came in wagon form... and was freaken sweet! no olds custom cruiser though... i loved that reverse indented hood...in brown of course..
while im at it.. 1979 Cadillac sedan deville, powder blue and all the options... but with cloth seats! and a BIG BLOCK! smogged out big block... but one day a nice high compression 500/472 will take the 425s place. I love that car. it will never be for sale. it drives like a sports car and sits nose high for proper attitude... from the factory! You know the brown one from goodfellas? it drives like that!

Haven't got anywhere to post a pic of my silver Ford Puma (2002 but still going strong!). It has always been a popular little sports coupe with female drivers over here in Britain.
My husband tells me It's based on the floorpan of the Ford Fiesta. Has a 1.7 litre engine, co-developed with Yamaha and Jackie Stewart. (Whatever!). It has what you guys call a stick shift. 5-speed box.
As far as my husband knows it was never sold in North America because it didn't meet "type standards" (whatever that is) but was very popular in Europe, helped by a TV commercial featuring Steve McQueen's face superimposed over the driver's face.
Top Gear named it Car of the Year in 1997 (was it REALLY that long ago?). So no piccie but links to a couple of YouTube clips - with the then British Top Gear team of Tiff Needell behind the wheel, Jeremy Clarkson in the passenger seat and Quentin Willson in the back - in the episode where it got its award. I hasten to add, I don't drive it like this, I'm not that type of girl. :)

Cool stickers, id be worried too about vandalism. Once I parked my car in a low income neighborhood, and it got keyed. I can't help but to think its because I have an Italian flag on the back of my car, and a flag hanging from my rearview mirror.
@ Keira
CRX!!! WOOT WOOT. So many of you guys have hondas wtf? Some are seriously awesome tho... they just dont make them like they used too
Funny story for you guys. Before i bought my Rabbit I was dead set on a 2009 Civic Si. Coupe. White. MMmmm. Anyways, I spoke to the dealer, talked about pricing, and we kinda agreed on a number (no contracts signed yet...)
North America is more Muscle Car country. So I'm sure the market for pocket rockets is, or was, fairly small in comparison. Of course that might have changed when the Fast & Furious movies came out. I've always wanted a Nissan Skyline, but I can't stomach the Nissan GT they released here. it's fugly!
But I wish I could have bought a CRX with the glass roof and back seat that europe got. But , alass, that could not happen. Still, I loved that CRX and it made me really bitter seeing it around town. even more so as every time I saw that car it looked more and more thrashed. Stupid aftermarket tail lights, a cheesy wing. one wiper arm removed, the other adjusted to wipe only the middle of the windshield, primer grey paint..... it was horrible.
Figured I'd post this YouTube clip from a Top Gear also, with Jeremy Clarkson driving the BMW we own.
Clarkson BMW Z3 M coupe (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APUjUWJwFac&feature=related#)
My son bought the M Coupe, but lost his good paying job in the market crash, so we ended up buying it from him. It was limited to 155MPH and and he had it chipped to exceed 160. I've never gone that fast, but it is very fun to drive.

Nice , the M3 coupes are rare. I love the style of the M roadster but thinking of a Porsche Boxter S. Lots more trunk room and cheap 2003 for $15k.

Beat you to the punch long ago, Connie.
Well, they help you burn calories, and if you're old, couldn't those be considered "fossil" fuels. (Badum ching).

Yeah, I somehow managed to miss this thread till now. Really, I'd prefer a real car at times. Public transit around here is actively trying to destroy itself and my bike can only get me so far.

I read a sign on a bike store a while ago:
Cars make you heavier and your wallet lighter
Bikes make you lighter and your wallet heavier :)
I can't believe I missed this thread. I work as an auto tech for a german auto repair facility in my town. So to say the least I'm a car chick.
I have a 96 BMW 740il (E38) with 250,000 + miles, but I put a 65,000 mile motor in it when I bought it.
I've had an 85.5 Porsche 944( non-turbo) for a year, but just now began driving it. I got it with a bad head (bent valves). She still needs TLC, but I love the car so far.
