An audio file of me telling a PG-13 joke. Does my voice pass as female?

Hi, we have a "does my voice pass" thread in the voice section of the forum where a bunch of us offer each other critiques, you're most welcome to join :)
Not at all sorry dear... A tip that I can give you which is pretty freakin ultimate if not mandatory is to "swallow" and keep the adam's apple at its highest position and then hold an "ahh" then try again but with short sentences. Before you know it it will become second nature and you won't need conscious attention to keep it up it will even become the other way around.
your voice needs some work you can here the male in the undertone keep practicing
jessi
Honestly I can tell you are trying. However there still is a monotone bass/tenor quality to your voice.
I can hear the chest reverberation in your voice. You need more head reverberation and sing song quality.
But you are getting there.
Cute joke.
Hey AG, have you reviewed the CandiFLA videos on YouTube?
Sorry sweetie, the voice is the hardest to master, I have it sometimes and don't at other times
I don't want to be mean, but I think you're not even on the right way...
You just sound like a guy who's really depressed and is trying not to be too loud because people are sleeping to me... That's pretty harsh, but I've seen a lot of people think their voice passed while it didn't at all, so I don't want you to get false beliefs.
But don't despair. Almost everyone can get at least a decent voice with the right practice. And if you can't, you can try to find a voice therapist, or buy a "do it yourself" training program like Kathe Perez's. Expensive, but people say it works. Even more expensive, there's always voice surgery as a last resort. My girlfriend just had hers done in South Korea with an exclusive technique (http://www.yesonvc.net/disease/feminization_surgery.asp), and even though she's still healing, she sounds awesome to me.
But chances are that you can do it without surgery. Almost everyone can, though I think many need professional voice therapy. Surgery is only needed in very rare cases. Most of the time, like I'm almost sure it was the case for my girlfriend, it's just for comfort. And with its high costs and, often, risks, it's best to try other ways before going there.

My experience too.
Sometimes it feels as if it's all depending on my hormone levels i.e. the way I FEEL.
Feeling serious and thoughtful usually drops my voice right away, something that happens when speaking to strangers on the phone! So then I'm sired, 10/10. Humph.

Thank you A, Cyndigurl45, Ms. OBrien, jesse, and Axélle for your honest feedback.
Special thinks to Jamie D for the CandiFLA suggestion. Her videos are very helpful.
This has been especially frustrating for me because I'm pretty tone-deaf so during playback I won't hear the resonance that is there. And it's been hard to get honest voice feedback from the in-person people in my life.
You are trying to do what I did at first, speaking soft and breathy trying to cover up male resonance, that doesn't work at all.
The tip to swallow, hold your adams apple up and say "ah" is a good one, then try to move into short phrases. You have to learn to speak with your adams apple in the position. Also humming a "mmmmmmm" or "nimmmmmm" and then in monotone carry it into a word "mmmmone" "mmmtwo" etc is a good way to move your voice into your head and learn what that feels like. You want to feel a hum in your head, not in your chest.
One of the key things is short practice sessions but a lot of them. Practice in the car etc. You will be using muscles that have likely never been used much before and they will tire quickly. This is totally a muscle memory thing and it takes a LOT of practice for it to become natural and not having to think about it. At this point I would have to consciously try to talk like a guy.
I can not emphasize enough how important a reasonable sounding female voice is. You can get away with a LOT of male gender clues if your voice is good.
