Title: Younger and need advice on discussing my gender confusion to my loved ones.
Post by: invalidusername on October 16, 2012, 10:34:35 PM
Hi. I don't have the time to write a novel here, so I will just discuss my confusion briefly. Ever since I was about 12, I had this urge to be a girl. I try to hide it from most people, but the urge just keeps building and building. I am about ready to tell my parents, but I don't know how they will take it. I am afraid they will make fun of me. I hopefully at one point would like to get surgery before I turn 18. What is the best way to release the news to my parents? I really want to get this solved, mabye take some testoratone?

Thanks.

Hi invalidusername, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8603 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-3.gif&hash=f49e2f86761323f2abd9c33941920389dbb3b10f)

You may want to look at a PFLAG website (http://community.pflag.org/Page.aspx?pid=194&srcid=-2).  They generally have info for parents.

Yes,

Get this resolved one way or the other while you are young!  Judging by your post, you are under 18.  A qualified therapist will help you here.  Your local PFLAG chapter will help you and your parents here from their list of therapists.

Welcome, invalidusername. I'm a little confused by your post, but it's early in the morning and maybe I'm just not awake yet. If you've wanted to be a girl, that suggests you were born with a male body? In which case last thing you want is more testosterone (which will masculinise you).

Yes, you are right. I was born with a male body, and I did not reliaze testastorone would masculanize me. I am trying to feminize myself. And yes I am young.
